1 YES and NO : use of ballanced solutions should be prescribed if available (ex: plasmalyteG%)

5 I do not agree with isotonic IV-MFT for everyone in PICU because of high risk of hypernatremiaand hyperchloremia

5 IV-MFT among pediatric patients seems to be more complicated than questions aboveregarding actual state (hydrating) of patients - it's difficult to unswer in simple words.

6 the questions are sometimes very unspecific and difficult to respond. Sometimes it was notclear if neonates were included or not, sometimes answer was not possible (ie age withoutglucose for maintenance starts with 1 year)

25 Q21 - depends on the stage of illness. I answered the question regarding our strategy onadmission to the PICU, not for 24-48 hours. For example, we admit cardiac patients and givethem fluids, but start feeds in 6 hours. The same with ketoacidosis and other conditions Q22 -i don't think there's an age where addition of glucose is not important

35 The comments I have already made regarding type of PICU (non cardiac), which is why I didnot respond to post cardiac surgery questions. In the question on what type of fluids we takeinto account when we calculate intake for fluid balance, it is unclear whether we are meant toselect only the fluids that we take into account when we are planning intake for each day, orthe final intake in the fluid balance (which can be higher due to unexpected need for boluses, transfusions, etc...).
