premier event for the classic, vintage and veteran motoring
movement, attracting the most beautiful and prestigious classic
cars from collections around Australia and the world.
Admired by over 21,000 affluent and discerning enthusiasts,
Motorclassica, held at the iconic Royal Exhibition Building,
Melbourne, incorporates a number of events in which to showcase

The Australian International Concours d’Elegance & Classic Motor Show
TOUR CLASSICA PRESENTED BY 3AW The official opening event for Motorclassica, Tour Classica sees more than 80
concours competitors drive through the streets of Melbourne, en route to the grand
arrival at the Royal Exhibition Building in Carlton. Joining the owners and drivers
of these special cars and motorcycles are a selection of special guests and media
personalities, in this first sneak peek of what
Motorclassica promises for 2016.
CLUB SANDWICH PROUDLY SUPPORTED BY LORBEK LUXURY CARS
In 2015, nearly 400 collector cars and motorcycles from 38 Victorian motoring
clubs gathered on the Museum Plaza over two days for Club Sandwich, proudly
supported by Lorbek Luxury Cars. Car Clubs showcase their bests and the club
lifestyle, which alongside the desirable modern classics presented by the team at
Lorbeks creates a hot spot for visitors.
COLLECTOR CAR AUCTION PRESENTED BY THEODORE BRUCE
In 2015, the Motorclassica Collector Car Auction achieved an Australian record in
sales with lots including an alloy-bodied Jaguar XK120 and a rare Hartnett selling
for more than double its reserve. The Auction returns in 2016 with a brand new
slate of cars on show and on sale.

AUSTRALIAN INTERNATIONAL CONCOURS d’ELEGANCE 2015
Concours d’Elegance (Fr): a competition of elegance, specifically pertaining to a
competition among classic and vintage automobiles judged on condition, appearance,
originality and historic significance.
One of only two Australian events nominated in the prestigious International Historic
Motoring Awards, the Australian International Concours d’Elegance, brings extraordinary,
rare, desirable and valuable collector cars and motorcycles from around Australia and the
World in a three-day celebration of classic motoring. Together they compete in a variety
of show classes, all ultimately vying for the coveted ‘‘Best in Show’’ award.
In October 2016, Motorclassica is proud to celebrate 130 years of Mercedes-Benz,
110 years of Rolls-Royce, 100 years of BMW, 90 years of Ducati and 90 years of Italian
design house, Touring Superleggera.
