Project Rejuvenate by Parker Hannifin

With the help of Forbo Flooring Systems’ integrated portfolio ofsolutions, the Bioscience Filtration Division of Parker Hannifin inBirtley, County Durham, was transformed into a contemporary,uplifting and dynamic workplace environment. Labelled‘Project Rejuvenate’, the scheme designed by Blake HopkinsonArchitecture was awarded top marks in the annual Fly Forbo2019/20 competition.

Comprising office spaces, laboratories and a separatemanufacturing block, the 3950m2 Birtley headquarters isresponsible for the design, supply and delivery of single-usefiltration systems for pharmaceutical and biopharmaceuticalmanufacturing. Having been adapted in a relatively ad-hoc andsporadic manner over the years, Blake Hopkinson Architecturewas brought on board to take a holistic approach andcompletely remodel the whole site to reflect the global valuesof the Parker Hannifin brand.
