A0230 Mathematics -I CO1: Understands elementary row and column operations and
apply the knowledge of basic row and column operations to find the rank of a given matrix by reducing to Echelon form
and Normal form.
CO2: Understands the consistency criteria of system of
Homogeneous and non-homogeneous system of linear
equations and able to solve them.
CO3: Able to find the Eigen values and corresponding Eigen
vectors of given matrix. Apply the knowledge of Cayley-
Hamilton theorem to find inverse, adjoint of a matrix, or any
integral power of the given matrix.
CO4: Applies the knowledge of nth derivates of standard
functions to solve nth derivatives of various other functions,
applies Leibnitz theorem to find the nth derivative of product
functions.
CO5: Understands meaning of partial differentiation,
homogeneous and non-homogeneous functions, Euler’s
theorem, Jacobians and its properties, implicit functions and
their differentiation. CO6: Apply the knowledge of the reduction formulas of

B0230 Mathematics-II CO1: Understands the concepts of Group theory like algebraic
structure, binary operation, group axioms, their properties, sub-
groups and properties, verifies whether a non-empty set forms a
group with the given operation forms a group or not.
CO2: Able to identify different curve properties like angle
between the slope of the tangent and the radius vector, angle
between two curves, orthogonal curves, different forms of curve
equations.
CO3: Get the precise knowledge of finding arc lengths, their
pedal equations, radius of curvatures, center of the circle of
curvature, their coordinates.
CO4: Applies the knowledge to find the arc lengths, area

Mean value Theorem and Cauchy theorem to solve the problems

a group is normal or not and the mapping is homomorphism
or not.
