March gave us the ”Dunny Run” - a light hearted look at the very serious matter of accessibility to the
community‟s toilet facilities. Una Cowdroy in her electric wheelchair accompanied Karen Collins, Tweed
Shire Council Community Development Officer for Ageing & Disability. Their project has resulted in
changes being made to public toilets, which has resulted in greater inclusion for those with disabilities.

We appreciate that the Tri Care Community Village
allows us to use it‟s wonderful venue for our

Don’t forget the SUGGESTION BOX on the front table. Your ideas always provide ‘food for thought’.
Many thanks to the Probians who have
accepted the above Committee Positions.
It is proving increasingly difficult for
many organisations to maintain their
committees – the Ladies Probus Club of
Mermaid Waters is currently winding up,
and the Probus Association of Gold
Coast and Northern Rivers Incorporated
is having difficulty filling membership
positions. NOW is the time for all our
members to consider the succession
planning for 2018.
