Key principles
3
Self Service
CASPER empowers the business areas by providing them with the tools to define data dictionaries and the population of metadata that govern the data collections without IT intervention, enabling agility and a short-time to-market.
Automation
The volumes and diversity of data sets necessitate the reduction of manual interventions to the minimum. The end-to-end processing of the data is to be automated based on rules. The system will provide validation checks at “the entrance” of a report and an automated feedback to the submitting NCA, NCB or bank/reporting agent.
Flexibility
Flexibility and adaptability are major requirements expressed by the ECB data experts. CASPER will meet these requirements by leaving the configuration of the collection workflows to the user’s discretion. Flexibility is also assured in terms of data formats, data structure and submission channels.
Harmonization
CASPER is intended to provide a One-Stop-Collection via one interface. The interface supports different file formats and different channels to submit data. CASPER intends to follow a generic approach through the consolidation of all data collection efforts and the harmonization of the collection processes.
