Q. How does Prep-n-Go™ Buffer perform with other sample collection methods or other STR kits?A. Prep-n-Go™ Buffer has been validated internally for direct PCR amplification of reference samples collected with the Bode Buccal DNA Collector™ using the Identifiler® Direct kit. We have demonstrated initial feasibility using the Prep-n-Go™ Buffer with the NGM™ and NGM SElect™ PCR Amplification Kits and samples collected with buccal swabs. More extensive evaluations of these workflows are currently being investigated.

Q. Where can I find detailed information on the Prep-n-Go™ workflow?A. Details on the Prep-n-Go™ workflow are available in the Identifiler® Direct PCR Amplification Kit User Guide (P/N 4415125). If your laboratory is interested in using the Prep-n-Go™ Buffer with the NGM™ and NGM SElect™ kits or for direct amplification of samples collected with buccal swabs, please contact your HID support specialist.

Q. How many reactions can be performed with one kit?A. Prep-n-Go™ Buffer is available in one package size of 1,000 reactions. This packaging solution is designed to enable processing of Bode Buccal DNA Collector™ samples. An additional larger package size designed to enable processing with buccal swabs (which require a larger buffer volume) is in development.
