Poznan is a major commercial, industrial and educational center of Poland. There are many industries mechanical
engineering, food, rubber, perfume, glass and light industry.
Town Hall was the city's administrative building until 1939. In 1945, the
Battle of Poznan City Hall was severely damaged.
Recovery lasted until the mid-1950s, the building was
returned many of the original features of the
Renaissance style. Poznan City Hall today is a
museum.

Stary BrowarCultural, shopping and business center «Stary Browar» is the
center of commerce and art, built in November 2003 in the center of Poznan. Сenter combines the shopping center and
art gallery and there are about 210 shops and restaurants.
Frederic Chopin Monument was originally established in 1923 in the park of Stanislaw
Moniuszko. In September 1939, the monument was hidden from the German
occupiers. In 1961, a monument was erected in the
park by Frederic Chopin. In 1997, the monument suffered from vandalism. Salvage bust monument was placed in the
White Hall of the City Council.
