Page 2: POWER...the delightful and familiar melodies of “Let Me Entertain You,” “Together, Wherever We Go,” and the show-stopper “Everything Is Coming Up Roses,” GYPSY is sure

GYPSY comes alive exploring the dreams and efforts of one hungry powerhouse, Mama Rose, to get her daughters into show business. Rose is the quintessential “stage mother” and her drive to find success for her girls is both hilarious and harrowing. Based on the memoirs of Gypsy Rose Lee, a burlesque dancer, it is considered one of the greatest American musicals of all time. Featuring the delightful and familiar melodies of “Let Me Entertain You,” “Together, Wherever We Go,” and the show-stopper “Everything Is Coming Up Roses,” GYPSY is sure to fill the hearts and souls of all who dream.Book by Arthur LaurentsLyrics by Stephen SondheimMusic by Jule StyneOriginally directed and choreographed by Jerome RobbinsDirected by Dr. Julie Rae Mollenkamp Choreography by Ashley Miller-ScullyMusical Direction by Dr. Kristee Haney and Mr. Conner Tipping

HIGHLANDER THEATRE

A father vanishes. A mother pops pills. Three sisters harbor shady little secrets. When the Weston family unexpectedly reunites after their dad disappears, their Osage County, Oklahoma homestead explodes in a storm of hidden truths and disturbing secrets. With Violet, the scathing, acidic matriarch’s unpredictable behavior, the play unflinchingly and uproariously exposes the dark side of the Midwestern American Family.By Tracy Letts Directed by Dr. Aaron M. HIGHLANDER THEATRE

Godspell was the first major musical theatre offering from three-time Grammy and Academy Award winner, Stephen Schwartz (Wicked, Pippin, Children of Eden), and it took the world by storm. The story centers around a small group of people who help Jesus with the telling of different parables by using a wide variety of games, storytelling techniques and hefty doses of comic timing. An eclectic blend of songs, ranging in style from pop to vaudeville, is employed as the story of Jesus’ life dances across the stage. Dissolving hauntingly into the Last Supper and the Crucifixion, Jesus’ messages of kindness, tolerance and love come vibrantly to life. NOV. 13-17, 2018 - 7:30 P.M.HIGHLANDER THEATRE

Two cops. Three crooks. Eight doors—Go! In a cheap motel room, an embezzling mayor is supposed to meet with his female accountant, while in the room next-door, two undercover cops wait to catch the meeting on videotape. But there’s some confusion as to who’s in which room, who’s being videotaped, who’s taken the money, who’s hired a hit man, and why the accountant keeps taking off her clothes.By Paul Slade Smith Directed by John Wilson

Enjoy the beauty of spring in Missouri as our 2019 spring dance concert journeys to the exquisite landscape of Powell Gardens. Accompanied by the live music of Kansas City rock ‘n roll band, My Oh My!, the choreographers will create a narrative through song as you sit, unwind, and snack on sweet treats and drinks while watching the show. After the performance, stay for more live music and a full evening of social dancing in the beauty of the botanical gardens.Directed by Ashley Miller-Scully
