SYNOPSISTHE MOST DISASTROUS AFFAIR ALARMING
CURRENTLY IS “GLOBAL WARMING” DUE TO SEVERE ENVIRONMENTAL POLLUTION.
“PREVENTION IS BETTER THAN CURE ’’ SHOULD BE THE ONLY SLOGAN AND SHOULD CREATE AWARNESS IN EACH INDUSTRIALIST’S MIND OVER THE WORLD .
IMPLEMENTATION OF PROGRAMMES, PLANTING OF NEW TREES IN LAKHS, FOCUSSING ON GREEN REVOLUTIONARY SCHEMES ARE ESSENTIAL. USE WEAPONS FOR CONSTRUCTION AND AVOID USING FOR DESTRUCTION.
POLLUTION LEADS TO TRAGEDY.PREVENTION LEADS TO SAFETY.

IntroductionPollution, contamination of Earth’s environment with materials that interfere with human health, The quality of life, or the natural functioning of ecosystems (living organisms and their physical surroundings). Although some environmental pollution is a result of natural causes such as volcanic eruptions, most is caused by human activities. There are two main categories of polluting materials, or pollutants. Biodegradable pollutants are materials, such as sewage, that rapidly decompose by natural processes. These pollutants become a problem when added to the environment faster than they can decompose (see Sewage Disposal). Non bio-degradable pollutants are materials that either do not decompose or decompose slowly in the natural environment. Once contamination occurs, it is difficult or impossible to remove these pollutants from the environment.

SOURCESSOURCES
Smoke from factories Exhaust fumes from motor vehicles like cars, buses, trucks, two-wheelers Power stations & Fertilizer factories Waste gases from factories & houses Smoking Dust from mining & construction
PREVENTION
Using Battery operated VehiclesSet up Emission control plantsUse pollution control equipment in industriesKeep motor vehicles in good condition to reduce fumes Use bicycles, public transport or electrical vehicles whenever possible.
SOURCES
Waste from factories Man-made chemicals used in farming Industrial and household waste Throwing rubbish into rivers, tanks and on beaches.
PREVENTIONPREVENTION
Don’t allow waste water and chemicals to flow into rivers and wellsKeep beaches and water sources cleanSet up Effluent treatment Plants STOP throwing things away
SSOOUURRCCEESS
Loudspeakers, car and bus hornsBursting loud fire crackers
PREVENTIONPREVENTION
Reduce the use of loudspeakers in public places and residential areas Use horns in vehicles sparingly Avoid bursting loud fire crackers especially where there are aged people and small children
SOURCESSOURCES
Nuclear power plants Nuclear weapons Transportation Disposal of nuclear waste Uranium mining
PREVENTION
By not using nuclear weapons
SOURCESPower plants creating electricity from fossil fuels Water as a cooling agent in industrial facilities Deforestation of the shoreline Soil erosion
SOURCES
High intensity Light Sources
Laser beams
Utilizing light sources of minimum intensity is necessary to accomplish the light's purpose. Turning lights off using a timer or occupancy sensor or manually when not needed. Improving lighting fixtures, so that they direct their light more accurately towards where it is needed, and with less side effects. Adjusting the type of lights used, so that the light waves emitted are those that are less likely to cause severe light pollution problems.
