POETRY PROJECT
By Kaitlyn Barth
METAPHOR POEM
Kaitlyn runs
Faster than
A cheetah
When it tries
To catch it’s prey.
SIMILE POEM
My sister is like
An angel when she
Sleeps in her
Bed at
night
LIMERICK POEM
There once was a cat named Matt.
Who thought he was fat.
He dreamed he was eating a mouse.
That was as big as a house.
That was that for the fat cat.
PINK COLOR POEM
Pink is soft ant fluffy like cotton candy.
Pink is warm like a beautiful spring day.
Pink is beautiful like on a birthday cake.
Pink is like a beautiful shade of lipstick.
Pink tastes like a bowl of mouthwatering strawberries.
Pink smells like the beautiful rose during the day.
Pink sounds like the popping of a bubble from gum.
Pink feels like a soft cuddly blanket.
Pink looks like yummy pink sprinkles.
Pink makes me think of strawberry ice cream.
Pink is like the yummy piece of bubble gum.
TONGUE TWISTER POEM
Silly Sally Sue
Has a basket of silly goo.
The goo wouldn’t do because
It was stuck on her shoe.
Poor Sue didn’t know what to do.
Sue asked Drew what to do, so Drew told Sue he had no clue.
So Sue and Drew went to the zoo, fell on some dew and got rid of the blue goo.
