Background on Mondrian-Mondrian used lines, 90 degree angles, shapes,and colors to create his paintings
-He usually only used red, blue, yellow, white, and black
-His shapes vary in size and proportion
What you will be doing...In your sketchbook-In your sketchbook, you will come up with three designs based on Mondrian.
-The first sketch you will use 5 lines to create your composition
-The second sketch you will use 8 lines to create your composition
-The third sketch you will use 11 lines to create your composition
-You can only use vertical and horizontal lines.
Student Objectives -Once you finished all three sketches you will be given three sheets of watercolor paper in three different sizes
-Each of your sketches will transfer to each sheet by using masking tape to make your lines and shapes
-The three sizes are 5x7 ,9x12, and 11x15
Student Objectives-Once you have all of your tape down make sure you show your teacher before you start painting.
-For each one you have to use one color scheme only-You have to mix all of your colors
