SingTel PhoneNet is a hosted telephony service for businesses. It provides an outsourced telephony solution for customers seeking to enjoy essential telephony features, without having to purchase and maintain an in-house phone system. MAKING A CALLExternal Calls
To call a number outside user’s PhoneNet group:1) Lift up handset2) Press 93) Dial the 8 digit number or overseas number of the party the user wishes to call
Internal Calls
To call a number within user’s PhoneNet group:1) Lift up handset2) Dial the party’s extension number the user wishes to call
2-DIGIT SPEED DIALTo programme up to 10 external numbers and assign them with 2-digit codes
To activate this service
1) Lift up handset2) Press *033) Listen for feature activation tone4) Enter the 2-digit code (00-09) and 9 + external number, followed by #
5) Listen for feature activation acceptance tone6) Replace handset
To speed dial
1) Lift up handset2) Press ** and dial the 2-digit code (00-09)
Note: Extension numbers cannot be programmed for speed dial

User can choose either One-time Unlocking or Manual Locking

AUTO CALL BACKWhen the user reaches a busy extension number, PhoneNet will call the user back as soon
as that line is free
To activate this service:

CALL BARRINGTo restrict the extension from making outgoing or receiving incoming calls.
Semi-restrict incoming calls
- To allow users to make internal/external calls
- Able to receive internal calls and operator assisted calls
Semi-restrict outgoing calls
- To allow users to receive internal/external calls
- Able to make internal calls and operator assisted calls
Fully restrict incoming calls
- To allow users to make internal/external calls
- Able to receive internal calls only
Fully restrict outgoing calls
- To allow users to receive internal/external calls

Note: This feature will be disabled when Call Forwarding is activated on the busy extension or PhoneMail is subscribed on the extension. The feature will only work within the same PhoneNet group, for single location only.

CALL FORWARD – BUSYTo forward all incoming calls to another extension or an external number when
user’s line is busy.
To activate this service:
1) Lift up handset2) Press * 153) Listen for feature activation tone4) Press extension number or 9 + external number where all calls are to be forwarded
5) Listen for feature activation acceptance tone 6) Replace handset
To deactivate this service: 1) Lift up handset 2) Press #15
3) Listen for feature de-activation acceptance tone 4) Replace handset
Note: If an extension calls another extension that has been call forwarded to an external number, local call charges will be incurred to the calling extension.
CALL FORWARD - NO ANSWERTo forward all incoming calls to another extension or an external number automatically if unan-swered after 6 rings.
To activate this service:
1) Lift up handset2) Press * 253) Listen for feature activation tone4) Press extension number or 9 + external number where all calls are to be forwarded
5) Listen for feature activation acceptance tone 6) Replace handset
To deactivate this service:
1) Lift up handset2) Press #25

CALL FORWARD – UNCONDITIONALTo forward all incoming calls unconditionally
To activate this service:
1) Lift up handset 2) Press * 053) Listen for feature activation tone 4) Press extension number or 9 + external number where all calls are to be forwarded
5) Listen for feature activation acceptance tone6) Replace handset
To deactivate this service:
1) Lift up handset 2) Press #05
3) Listen for feature de-activation acceptance tone 4) Replace handset
For all Call Forwarding features, user may request to change Call Forwarding to one of the following options:1) Only external calls can be forwarded to an extension or any other external number or;
2) Both external and extension calls can be forwarded to an extension number only or
3) Only external calls can be forwarded to an extension number only.
CALL FORWARD – REMOTE ACTIVATETo forward all incoming calls from a remote location
To activate call forwarding from any phone
1) Dial the pre-assigned 8-digit feature activation number (xxxx-0899)
2) Key in user’s 8-digit PhoneNet number 3) Press *05 to forward all calls OR Press *15 to forward calls when busy OR Press *25 to forward calls if unanswered after 6 rings4) Listen for feature activation tone5) Key in user’s PIN6) Dial PhoneNet extension number or 9 + external number where all calls are to be forwarded
7) Listen for feature activation acceptance tone8) Replace handset
To de-activate call forwarding from any phone
1) Dial the pre-assigned 8-digit feature activation number (xxxx-0899)
2) Key in your 8-digit PhoneNet number 3) Press #05 if all calls were forwarded OR Press #15 if calls were forwarded when busy
OR Press #25 if calls were forwarded if unanswered after 6 rings
4) Listen for feature de-activation tone5) Key in user’s PIN6) Listen for feature de- activation acceptance tone7) Replace handset
Note: ‘xxxx’ refers to the first 4 digits of your PhoneNet number, unless otherwise stated.

Note: If an extension calls another extension that has been call forwarded to an external number, local call charges will be incurred to the calling extension
CALL HOLDTo put an existing call on hold while user make another call. User can speak alternately
to the two parties.
CALL PARKAllows the user to put a call on hold and answer it from another extension.
Note: Parked calls not retrieved within 2 minutes will ring back at the activated extension.
CALL PICK UPGroup: Allows extensions to be grouped as a single call pickup group so that each extension is
able to answer any calls within the same group.
To answer any ringing phone within the pick-up group from user’s phone1) Lift up handset2) Press *11
Note: Phone which rings first or the longest will be picked up first.
Directed: Allows user to answer a call that is ringing on another extension even though it is not
within the user pre-defined call pick-up group.
To answer a call that is ringing from another phone even though it is not within user’s pick-up group:1) Lift up handset2) Press *233) Listen for feature activation tone5) Dial the ringing extension number to answer

To retrieve from another extension

To Park a Call

To toggle between the 2 parties
1) Press “Flash Button” or tap the hook switch2) Listen for feature activation tone3) Press * 224) Resume conversation with 1st party who was put hold
To put caller on hold:

CALL TRANSFERTo transfer an incoming or outgoing call to another extension number or external number.
To Activate:
1) Press “Flash Button” or tap the hook switch2) Listen for feature activation tone3) Dial extension number or 9 + external number user wish to transfer call to
4) Listen for ringing tone before replacing handset to complete transfer OR press “Flash Button” or tap the hook to retrieve the 1st call
CALL WAITINGAllows the user to receive a signal on an incoming call while engaged in another call.
To answer another call during a conversation
1) User hear a ringing tone during a conversation2) Press “Flash” or tap the hook switch to speak to the second party
CALLER IDAllows the user to view the caller identification of a caller.
Internal Extension and External Number
If the caller is calling from an extension number, the name^ and the extension number of the
caller will be displayed on user’s Caller-ID phone or adjunct.
If the incoming call is an external number, only the calling number is displayed.
If the incoming call is a forwarded call from another extension, the word ‘TRANSFER’ will be displayed.
Note: ^ Name is displayed only if the calling party has subscribed to the Extension Name Registration.
CALLER NUMBER NON DISPLAY (User controllable)Allows the user to block or display his caller ID when making a call.

Once released, user may press *36 followed by 9 + external number to prevent the PhoneNet
number from being displayed to the called party for that particular call.
To Restrict

Note: Call transfer to external number is possible only upon request. Traffic charges will be incurred by the extension that initi-ates the external call.
COLLECT CALL SCREENINGAllows the user to screen collect calls. The extension is programmed not to accept collect calls
by default.
To accept collect calls
1) Lift up handset2) Press #68
3) Listen for feature activation tone4) Key in user’s PIN5) Listen for feature activation acceptance tone6) Replace handset
Note: The line will accept collect calls until the user activates the sequence to reject collect calls.
To reject collect calls
1) Lift up handset2) Press *683) Listen for feature activation tone4) Key in user’s PIN 5) Listen for feature activation acceptance tone6) Replace handset
CONFERENCE CALL - 3 WayAllows 3 parties to converse together at the same time.
To make conference call
1) Dial the extension number or 9 + external number
2) Press “Flash Button” or tap the hook switch3) Listen for feature activation tone4) Dial the second extension or 9 + external number
5) Press “Flash Button” or tap the hook switch to initiate 3-party conversation
Note: When the initiator releases the call, the other 2 parties cannot continue communication.

DIRECTED CALL PICKUP – EXECUTIVE OVERRIDEAllows user to intrude into the conversation over a PhoneNet line:
1) Lift up handset2) Press *333) Listen for feature activation tone4) Dial the busy extension number that the user wishes to interrupt
Note: When the interrupted party releases the call, the other 2 parties will still be able to communicate with each other.
MULTI-LINE HUNTINGThe Multi-Line Hunting feature allows user to group several Phonenet lines to form a hunting group. Individual Phonenet line will still be able to activate features such as Call Forwarding.Note: When caller dials the main directory number, the auxiliary line with call forwarding service activated will not be hunted.
