PE and School Sport PE and school sport is an absolutely
essential part of school life. Key to our development in PE
provision is our membership to our local School Sport Partnership
and School Games network which supports our increased levels of PE
and quality of school sport opportunities.

Sport Premium Funding Our current 2014/15 Sport Premium
allocation by the Government for investment in primary school PE
and sport (guaranteed until 2016) stands at 8585, which this year
has provided additional resources to ensure impact for all young
people in a sustainable way.

Raise school standards By getting our physical education and
school sport strategies right, we expect to increase achievement
and raise school standards. This additional investment from central
government is seen as a school improvement opportunity, as well as
getting more successful athletes competing at district and county
level and in future Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Physical and emotional well-being High quality physical
education and school sport contributes to a range of outcomes for
young people. Not only does it equip young people with physical

and body confidence: it also contributes to their physical, mental
and emotional health and well-being.
