thing. Example:

A pronoun takes the place of a
noun.
Example: He wanted to sit next to them at the lunch table.
A verb describes an action or a state of being.
Example: Stacy is planning on playing tag at recess.
An adverb describes an
action.
Example: Billy waited patiently for the teacher to call on
him.
Adjectives are describing
words.
Example: Jessica is that sweet
girl wearing the bright pink shirt and
blue pants.
Directions: Cut out each word. Glue it into the flip book under the correct part of speech.
