Introduction
Device Overview
Park Brake / Tipper Alarm is a low cost, basic safety device intended as a warning system to alarm the driver in case:
1. They try to open the door and exit without setting their park brake ON;
2. The truck is moved forward or reverse with the Tipper Body raised..
It is designed to be very simple and easy to install, but operate in intelligent way.
The device can be further re-programmed in case there are further customer requirements.

Detail Description
Park Brake Alarm Function
The Installer needs to connect the Door Switch Signal and Park Brake Signal onto the Park Brake Alarm in order for the Park Brake Alarm to function correctly. Separate Inputs are provided for High Active and Low Active Input, and installer should only need to connect one of them. (Depending on how the vehicle is wired. Eg; switching to ground or switching to positive)
If the Door Switch is triggered (Door Opened) while the Park Brake is OFF (released), the on board buzzer will immediately sound for 5s before BOTH alarm (Ex.Buzzer.1 and Ex.Buzzer.2) is activated.
Applying the Park Brake will disable BOTH buzzer and alarm immediately., the alarms latch on unless the park Brake is applied. It is good practice to apply the park brake BEFORE opening the door.
Tipper Function (Co-exist with Park Brake Alarm Function)
The installer should mount the Tipper Proximity Switch (PNP) onto the truck body so that it senses when the tipper body is resting in the down position. Make sure the proximity switch is protected from harm’s way and foreign matter that may obstruct or damage the sensor. Connect the wiring as per the instructions.
Applying the Park Brake will engage the Air Brake output, while releasing the Park Brake will release the Air Brake also. The onboard buzzer will sound if the driver releases the park brake and the tipper is not fully down.
Note: the proximity sensor will show a red LED when it is powered up and is sensing metal within its sensing range.
