Paraflow Communications Ltd. was established in 1995 by partners having a successful professional and
scientific career. The company is one of the leading system integrators on Bulgarian IT market. It is an innovator
in implementation of technological concepts and solutions, a leader in development of information and
communication technologies and solutions in the financial sector. The company has successful background
in the deployment, management and security of information and communication infrastructures in the public
administration, the education system, the industry.
Since 2001 Paraflow has introduced the System of quality assurance ISO 9001:2000. The certificate guarantees

Information infrastructure of LUKOIL Neftochim Bourgas
It was created on the basis of a series of projects during more
than 5 years. There have been implemented an optical support
network, LAN and WAN IP network, VPN. There has been built
a management of the infrastructure on the basis of HP Open
View and Cisco Works. The security of the users was provided
through CheckPoint Firewall-1 and an active directory of Microsoft
Windows 2003. There has been made the delivery and the
development of contemporary server solutions and means of
storage and archiving of data. The maintenance of the systems
on site has been provided. The system is being continuously
updated and expanded with new production lines and services for
the users.
National state administration network
Designing and deployment of an integrated network for
communication services of the state administration. Initially the
network connected the state institutions on the territory of Sofia
and later there have been added connections in the regional
cities and optical links to some of the regional administrations.
The project was implemented in the period between 1997 and
2001-2002. The network has been built on the basis of the
ATM technology for data, voice and video transfer. Here for
the first time in Bulgaria there has been put into practice the
convergence of voice and data traffic through a data network. At
the moment the network is operational and provides proprietary
communication path between the institutions.
Deployment of the communication infrastructure in
Business park Sofia
The project comprises the deployment of the communication
infrastructure of the biggest and most up-to-date business
park in Eastern Europe. So far there have been more than 8000
work places installed with a cable 7th category together with
electric power supply to them. The system is rapidly adapting
to the requirements of each company-tenant. The common
communication environment has been created on the basis of
an optical backbone. It provides high-speed networks, different
Internet providers links, VoIP and other services to the companies.
The technologies of Cisco Systems and Reichle & De-Massari
have been used.
PROJECTS
National education network of Bulgarian schools
The biggest project within Bulgarian education system for
increasing the quality of education through introduction of
innovation educational technologies and methods to the learning
process. The network is based on the concept of manageability,
security and adaptability of the communication channels
among schools and the Control Center, where all the network
resources are concentrated. The most cutting-edge information
and communication technologies and solutions with equipment
and software of Cisco Systems, Microsoft and Hewlett-Packard
have been used for the project implementation. The project is
implemented by the consortium Schools Online. During the first
three months of the project’s first phase in 2005 the consortium
installed and connected in a unified network more than 1000
computer studies in every region of the country using the Solution
Accelerator for Business Desktop Deployment technology, which
was adapted for the project’s purposes by Paraflow and Microsoft
Bulgaria.
Internal VOIP and data network in United Bulgarian bank
A series of projects implemented in United Bulgarian bank after
the year 2000 which contributed to the deployment of the most
up-to-date communication and IT infrastructure in the financial
sector of Bulgaria. In 2001 for the first time in a bank institution
in Bulgaria there was developed an IP telephony system which
had substantially reduced the telephone service bills of the bank.
Cisco System appraised the project as especially important for
the development of the IP telephony. For the first time a system for
monitoring and management of IT infrastructure was implemented
in a financial institution. It significantly increased the effectiveness
of the IT services of the bank. Later on to this system was added
the biggest network of ATM’s in the country.

Design and deployment of Help Desk in the National
Revenue Agency
This project aims to increase the efficiency of the entire
information system of the National agency of incomes and
to improve the level of IT-service of the employees. It was
implemented in 2005. The system, developed on the basis
of HP OpenView Service Desk, supervises and manages the
information streams in the network, provides the working capacity
of the workstations and the servers, organizes the processes
of asset management, processing of the incidents and the
problems, management of the software changes in an integrated,
unbreakable stream of operations.
Telephone banking center in ProCredit bank
The Center allows for the first time in Bulgaria to execute money
transfers, payment orders to the state budget and purchase-sales
of currency by telephone in real time for 24-hours period. The
project was carried out in 2005. The interactive application Cisco
IPCC Express based upon Cisco AVVID and a platform for IP
telephony – Cisco Call Manager has been used to structure the
center. The solution has been supplemented by a know-how of
Paraflow – there have been designed and implemented specialized
software modules for its integration with the bank information
system, the writing of the voice prompts and interaction,
implementation of a module for call recording.
Update and maintenance of the communication network
of OMV
The project comprises offering of information services, supply
and maintenance of communication and computer equipment
for the central office and all petrol stations in the country. It was
implemented in 2004 and 2005. It comprises also deployment
of a telephone network and implementation of IP telephony. The
ATM’s and the POS terminals in the petrol stations are connected
to the communication infrastructure. A Help Desk service request
management system for problems in the technical infrastructure
of the petrol stations has been set up. The corporate network
is being serviced by the system of professional technical
maintenance of Paraflow Hot-line Support 24 hours, 7 days a
week.
Deployment of communication and information
infrastructure of Private Bank TEXIM
It includes an audit of the current state of the information
infrastructure, its updating, its remote supervision and
management of the corporate network. The project is the biggest
in the 13-years history of the bank. It was implemented in
2004-2006. A cutting-edge data center has been created. There
have been used technologies and solutions with equipment and
software of Cisco Systems, Hewlett-Packard, Microsoft and
Oracle.
Mall of Sofia – the biggest cable system installed in a
single property in Bulgaria
The biggest cabling network for voice, data and multimedia
applications transfer inside single building in Bulgaria has been
set up. The project represents an innovation with regards to the
technological execution. The system has been deployed in a
parallel way with the construction of the building, even before
the finishing of the rough construction. The total built-up area of
Mall of Sofia is 70 000 m2. Until May 2006 the installation of the
cabling system in the entertainment and commercial part was
carried out, until September the putting into operation of the offices
inside Sofia Tower was finalized. 7000 is the total number of
communication points inside the building, secured by optical and
copper cables 7th category. The high reliability has been achieved
through the R&M technologies.
Vivatel 2G/3G infrastructure
The implementation works was executed in order to fulfill the
obligations as a subcontractor of Nokia for Vivatel mobile network
in Bulgaria in the areas of: Base Station (BTS) Infrastructure –
Installation, Commissioning and Integration services related,
connected to other Vivatel equipment. Mobile Core Infrastructure –
Installation and Integration related to the configuration of different
components like RNC, MWG, TCSM, SGSN, BSC, etc. Core IP
Backbone – Planning, Design, Installation and Implementation
services regarding IP connectivity in mobile core and radio
network controllers, covering the site interconnection and the IP
connectivity solution. Support and Maintenance – all services
covered already installed Vivatel infrastructure according contract
KPI and SLA.

E-services platform intended for citizens in Kavarna and
Kostinbord
The platform for provision of e-services for the citizens and the
business (MS Citizen Service Platform) is a solution of Microsoft,
which is realized jointly with the Centre for Automation of Design
and Construction Progress and Paraflow Communications. The
technological partners involved in the project are EMC, Dell and
Cisco Systems. The participation of Paraflow Communications
is based on the experience and know-how gained during the
recent 3-4 years as a result of the implementation of solutions for
multifunctional access to date and to services provided by public
and financial organizations by means of different communication
channels – telephone, e-mail and other available internet means
such as ICQ, Messenger and Skype. The communication part of
the platform is based on the technology of call management on
the basis of interactive voice portal Cisco Call Manager, which
enables provision of automated services, managing and escalating
inquiries for provision of a competent reply, calls recording and
indexation. The citizens and the business already may submit
remote applications for issuing marital status certificates,
transcripts of death certificate, design permits, as well as warnings
and proposals to the municipal administration. The project was
implemented in 2009.
NRA – Information centre
Paraflow applies the Cisco technology in building a call centre
based on its successful experience from the implementation of
such solutions in other organizations - Cisco IPCC and Cisco
CallManager. The solution enables management of phone calls
on the basis of interactive voice portal, provision of automatic
services, inquiries management and escalation, calls recording
and indexation. In addition to the Ciscto technologies the project
also includes: operational systems – Windows 2003 Server,
database – MS SQL Server, MS SharePoint – a specialized system
for legal documents management and storing , MS Dynamics
CRM – containing the history of all contacts and received calls,
software module for outgoing campaigns – created by Paraflow.
The implemented technologies enable automated management of
phone calls – integrated with the Revenue Management System
(RMS) of NRA, fast and easy creating and tracking history of
any inquiry, quick access to information referring to the inquiry,
sending information by e-mail, quick access to all documents.
The project was implemented in 2007 and 2008.

Implementation of Active directory in NRA
The project aims at supporting and facilitating the administrative
work related to the maintenance of IT infrastructure of NRA
and enabling centralized application of the security policies to
improve the user management in the network, the computers of
employees and the access to resources, as well as the security
and reliability of information systems. It is connected with
the design and implementation of the common infrastructure
Microsoft Active Directory, based on Windows Server 2008.
Full integration has been realized with the human resources
management system of the organization. Upon synchronization of
the user profiles and their attributes it allows automatic generation
of e-address, determining the position of the relevant user in
the hierarchy of the organizational units, to which groups the
user is a member, by which the access level to the relevant date
resources is determined. The project scope includes the central
administration and the five biggest territorial directorates of NRA -
Sofia city, Plovdiv, Varna, Burgas and Veliko Tarnovo. The project
was implemented in 2009.
Design of common centralized communication and
information infrastructure of the Ministry of Labour and Social
Policy
The project provides overall and complex solution for
building common centralized communication and information
infrastructure for the needs of MLSP to ensure integrated
technological infrastructural framework for the realization of
the e-services of the Ministry. The technological solution aims
to cover all agencies and divisions of MLSP by connecting
them in common communication environment fully consistent
and compatible with the existing information infrastructure of
MLSP. The design includes centralized communication services,
uninterruptible environment, guaranteed security and reliability
of communications. The project has been prepared consistent
with the principle of maximum openness, which allows defining
new structural units and territorial divisions in future, as well as
change in the existing ones. The proposal includes technology
and architecture for centralized catalogue system of users
(directory service), which covers all units and users of MLSP. The
system is designed redundant and failure-free, and it is integrated
and compatible with all other systems as much as possible. The
proposal includes also an e-system for in-house user service of
the information infrastructure of MLSP (HelpDesk). The project
was implemented in 2009.

FINANCIAL RESULTS
The turnover of Paraflow for the year 2008 from sales of IT-products and services amounts to
BGN 30,357 million. During the last 4-5 years the company achieved the doubling of its turnover
together with 50% increase of the staff and marked a stable growth of the receipts from services
and the net profit.
Paraflow continuously invests in the setting-up of conditions for successful business through
contemporary offices and warehouse areas, more than 60 business vehicles and working equipment
and carrying out of laboratory experiments.
The company has been proclaimed “Most effective system integrator for 2005” in the ninth in
row classification of IDG Bulgaria of the leading companies for information and communication
technologies in the country – ICT Top 100. Paraflow has the leading position as per the indicator
effectiveness, which reflects the proportion between the receipts made and the number of the
employees with BGN 220 thousand per person from the staff.
