“The Broken Chain”
We knew little that afternoon that God was going to call your name.
In life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone
For part of us went with you, the day God called you home.
You left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide,
And though we cannot see you, you are always at our side.
Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same,
But as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.
Love always, your children
Dot, Jim, Lee, Freddie Mae, Ann, Bill, Milk, Bernard, Don and Floyd
“As Your Spirit Rose”
As your spirit rose, your voice was silenced.
But still it remain in our hearts and minds.
We heard of stories about your love for music,
Otis Redding to be exact.
A legacy you left of love and care
A place in our hearts, for which you will always be there.
Granddad, As Your Spirit Rose
It was time for you to go take your rest,
No doubt, we Loved you but God Loved you Best!
Forever in Our Hearts,
Love your Grands and Great-Grands
I’ve finished life’s chores assigned to me,
So put me on a boat headed out to sea.
Please send along my fishing pole,
For I’ve been invited to the fishin’ hole.
Where everyday is a day to fish,
To fill your heart with every wish.
Don’t worry, or feel sad for me,
I’m fishin’ with the Master of the sea.
We will miss each other for a while,
But you will come and bring your smile.
That won’t be long you will see,
Till we’re together you and me.
To all of those that think of me,
Be happy as I go out to sea.
If others wonder why I’m missin’
Just tell’em I’ve gone fishin’.
