Our timeshare in Taupo was a nice little bungalow just north of the lake and within 5 minutes of the
shopping and eating area of town.
Judy smiles as we settle in for a week at
our little “home.” There was no upstairs
—just a peaked ceiling.
There was a small parking area to the
side of our bungalow—just right for the small
Toyota we rented.
The first of two identical Toyotas we rented, this red one got 31 mpg. Note (in the inset), the driver is on the right side.
The one bedroom had a standard size bed (left) for Judy; I enjoyed the twin sized bed (right). Very
comfortable for the week we were there.
A small dining area with a table was near the kitchen and living area; I rented Internet capability (wireless) for a week.
A couch (for the wife) and a comfortable chair (for the old man) was all we needed to relax,
watch TV (OK, only five not-so-exciting channels), and do emails on the laptop computer.
Though we had a nice LCD TV, there weren’t many good channels.
The good thing was that we heard NO
American politics for the week!
