c.Podcast defined
• A podcast is a media file … for playback on portable media players and personal computers.
• The host or author of a podcast is often called a podcaster. The term "podcast" is derived from Apple's portable music player, the iPod. A pod refers to a container of some sort and the idea of broadcasting to a container or pod correctly describes the process of podcasting.

c.Best guess on costs
Additional investment
• Audio editing $190 to $300 per class hour (2 hours for each hour, including equipment)
• Transcripts $90 to $180 per lecture (single speaker) or panel (multiple speakers) hour
• Supplementary materials – “it depends”
Costs of audio editing based on rates from MIT’s Academic Media Production Services (AMPS).
Costs of transcribing audio files from Escriptionist, Inc. The cost per minute depends upon the number of speakers. The costs are for non-expedited 3-5 business day transcriptions.
