To All My Fellow Taxidermist and Friends,
Hello! I hope that everyone had a beautiful summer. Time sure does
fly. I would like to thank those that attended our wood duck summer
class. A special thanks goes to Scott Statton for his time and
knowledge. It was a great weekend and very educational.
The next convention is just around the corner! The show dates are
February 4-6, 2016, in beautiful Winter Haven, Florida, at the Winter
Haven Suites and Inn and Conference Center. They can be reached
for reservations at 863-294-4451. The room rates will be $56.00 a
night.
The Judges for this show will be Korey Alleman and Dan Heasley. We
have invited special guest and friend, Russell Knight from Knights
Taxidermy and the show Mounted in Alaska. Russell will be holding two
seminars at our show. Tony Breedlove will be holding a casting class
as well. I am encouraging each and everyone of you to contact a
taxidermists in your area and invite them to our convention. Amateur,
novice, or master, we are always excited to learn from each other and
grow our amazing association. I would still like to hold the children's
class on Saturday morning, however, I have not received any
responses from anyone! If your child or grandchild will be attending the
show and is interested, please contact me as soon as possible so I can
prepare for the class. You can reach me at 352-567-1521.
We are working diligently on getting vendors for our convention. We
hope to have huge participation and support from our suppliers. The
Presidents Challenge this year will be a wood duck mount. Spread
your wings and be creative! Along with the award, there will be a
$200.00 cash prize!
I am pleased to announce we will NOW be accepting credit cards at
the convention if needed.
If anyone has any suggestions or even have questions, please feel
free to call me at 352-567-1521.
Sincerely,
Trina Pritchard
