On The Anniversary Of The
Day You Went Away
Todays the anniversary
Of the day that I lost you,
And for a time it felt as thoughMy life had ended too.
But Loss has taught me many things
And now I face each day,
With hope and happy memories
To help me on my way.
And though Im full of sadness
That youre no longer here,
Your infuence still guides me
And I still feel you near.
What we shared will never dieIt lives with my heart,
Bringing strength and comfort
While we are apart.

he teenager made international headlines inSeptember ater he was detained when he took ahomemade clock to school. A teacher contactedpolice ater claiming the clock looked like a bomb. In letters sent by attorneys with Laney andBollinger law oice on Monday, they said i the City
o Irving and Irving School District did not agreeto the apologies and compensation, they would ilea civil action. he letters demanded $10 million tobe paid to the amily by the City o Irving, and $5million rom the school district. Ralph Kubiak, 62, taught Mohameds historyclass in seventh grade at Sam Houston Middle Schoolin Garland, exas. He told the Dallas Morning Newsback in September the weird little kid once builta remote control to mess with a teachers classroomprojector. he paper reported Mohamed as havingracked up weeks o suspensions over the course otwo years. Kubiak told the paper Mohamed, the kind okid who could either be CEO o a company or heado a gang, once bragged about reciting his FirstAmendment rights in the principals oice. And what about the teacher who was acting inthe best interest or the saety o all 2,800 students atMacArthur High School? What she was aced withwas a beeping device, in a suitcase, in her class with
wires and a digital timer. It was perhaps the police department that couldhave done a better job; it wasnt a bomb and Mohamedprobably should not have been arrested.
he teenager and his ather claims he had been avictim o Islamophobia. You know, the kid is already as actor BillMurray said in the movie King Pin on a gravy trainwith biscuit wheels, even having been invited to theWhite House by Barack Obama who tweeted abouthis cool clock as well as meeting with dignitaries at
the United Nations, a trip to Mecca in Saudi Arabia,a trip to Silicon Valley in Caliornia to take a tour oGoogle headquarters, and an appearance on Dr. Oz. Clock Boy has actually had a great timebecause o it, and now hes o to Qatar, located onthe northeastern coast o the Arabian Peninsula, onan educational scholarship. But $15 million in compensation to boot? hecraziness will never end. Hopeully the judge willhave some common sense.
