PresenterPresentation NotesThis project was delayed from 2012 to 2018 due to the updated Buffalo Bayou Mitigation.The Memorial Reconstruction project going on in this area is progressing as scheduled. A few of the changes that you can expect are:Increasing the lane width from 10’ to 11’ - �adding dedicated left turn lanesSidewalks will be widened from 4’ to 5’Underground storm sewer will be added and upsized Roadway will be reconstructed Waterline and sanitary sewer will be replaced as needed�

• Existing bike lane is 2’ in width and considered substandard
• Increase comfort level by introducing a 5’ bike lane and a 3’ buffer
• Striped/painted bike lane and buffer allows for street sweeping and maintenance
• Striped/painted bike lane and buffer allows for street sweeping and maintenance
• Substandard facilities are not considered safe, and will not be restriped along portions of the corridor not programmed with the CIP project we are discussing today. To learn more, please visit the Houston Bike Plan.
• When funding is received, PWE will need to move the curb in this area to update the bike facility
