Silverstone is renowned as the Home of the British Grand Prix™, and the foremost international venue for Formula 1™ racing. It is also at the very heart of ‘Motorsport Valley®’, a global centre for the development and production of performance cars.
Of the 760 acres comprising the Silverstone Estate, over 230 acres will be released for the planned redevelopment of the circuit and expansion of the Technology Park. Plans will see the development of up to 6 million sq ft of mixed use accommodation over the next 10 years and the creation of 3000 new jobs.
The core concept of the new development is the creation of a community of complementary uses including the technology park, a manufacturers test centre and an enhanced educational offer. First class on site amenities will
include new conference & banqueting facilities (scheduled to open May 2011), hotels, dedicated visitor centre alongside additional sports and leisure activities.
The expansion of the Technology Park will provide a wide variety of development options – both freehold and leasehold, including fast-track design and build to occupiers specifications. The Technology Park is also home to the Silverstone Innovation Centre providing a serviced environment to foster the growth of advanced engineering and motorsport related businesses.
