P Programming
Background to NLP
7
Neuro Linguistic Programming began in the early ’70s when Richard Bandler, a student of psychology at the University of California, Santa Cruz started working with John Grinder, who was then the Assistant Professor of Linguistics. They began by studying three people to find out how and why they were such successful experts in their field.
As a result of these studies the first strategies and models of excellence they identified dealt with verbal and non-verbal communication skills.Subsequently NLP has identified a myriad of techniques that are used successfully in all walks of life and for many different purposes, such as coaching, sales, marketing, self development, influencing and many more.
Practical Applications
• Improve management skills

10
The Four Parts of NLP:
11
The Four Part of NLP: Rapport
12
• Is the first step to good communication
• Is meeting others in their model of the world
• Is matching the way you communicate to the way the other person takes in information
• Increases the likelihood that the message you send will be the one they receive
• Promotes trust and comfort between people
Impact in communication is:
55% by body language
38% by tone
7% by content
The Four Part of NLP: Outcome Orientation
13
The second part is to know what you want. Without knowing what you want you cannot define success, celebrate when you achieve, or map your journey towards your goals.
You need to ask yourself the following questions:
• What do I want?
• What do I want?
• What do I want?
• What do I want?
The Four Part of NLP: Sensory Acuity
14
The third part is to notice what is happening to you and to others around you. Become more curious and aware of the effects and impact of what you do. Only then will you truly know if you are on course to achieve your goal. You can then use this feedback to adjust what you are doing.
You need to ask yourself the following questions:
• How will I know when I have got it?• What will I be seeing when I have got it?• What will I be hearing when I have got it?• What will I be feeling when I have got it?• What will you see me doing, when I have got it?• What will you hear me saying when I have got it?
The Four Part of NLP: Behavioural Flexibility
15
If what you are doing isn’t working do something different.
If you always do what you’ve always done, you will always get what you’ve always got!
Remember, you always have a choice of what action you take and how you act and react to situations. It is useful to look at the world from different perspectives and points of view. The more behavioural flexibility you have the more choices you will discover.
Keep changing what you do until you get what you want!
16
Who Will Be Benefited

normally applied to businesses as
well as at home. NLP can enable

What is the best way to define objectives and make them forceful?
19
It Will Benefit You In:
For Kids:We all wish that our kids will live and grow in an environment where they
will be able to live a life without any pressure or stress. Unfortunately, the
increasing expectations lead to stress for our kids. NLP plays a great role
to provide fun and happy childhood.
NLP techniques help kids:
How they can build their self confidence.
How they can control their mood.
If they get criticized then how they can manage the situation.
The best way to cope with grief.
How they can make friends.
How they can learn in the most effective way.
20
For Schools:
Every school wishes to function optimally where teachers will be able
to teach optimally and students would be able to learn effectively?
This is where the importance of NLP is felt .
NLP is also considered to be of great use to develop the self
confidence of not just the teachers but also the students in their life.
. 21
• NLP techniques can be used by teachers to make the students
learn faster and help them retain the things that they have
learned.
• Many schools have been making use of this approach because
they want to improve the overall performance of the school.
• Through NLP, teachers will be trained how they can control their
emotions via state management.
22
Conclusion:
23
1) You can find out how someone represents the world in their head by observing the words they use, their physiology and the position of their eyes when thinking.
2) If you match the behavior of a person you can gain rapportmore rapidly and hence ‘connect’ with them
3) Understanding a person’s personality type allows you togive them information in a way they are most receptive to.
