For 6 inch and larger NEWAY Trunnion mounted ball valves will be
installed with a sealant injection fittings on both stem and seats.
When the sealing materials (seat sealing or stem o-ring) are
damaged or decomposed by fire or other accidental causes, leakage
from the seat and stem can be prevented by injection of sealant into
these fittings. Fitting also internally installed a second check valve to
provides backup sealing.

between ball and seat ring is assure to provide a tight
seal.
When cavity pressure is higher than seat spring and line pressure,
i.e. P*D1>Fs, the self relieving action allows that valve seat will
move slightly away from the ball surface, therefore any over
pressure acting in the body cavity is discharged into the line to
restore the balance between the body cavity and line (either
upstream or downstream).

designed with an integral collar to be blowout-proof.
Antistatic device is a standard feature of NEWAY ball valve . A spring-
loaded pin assures the electrical continuity, between ball ,stem and
body, so as to avoid sparks during turning of the stem to open and close
the valve, which could be dangerous in case of hazardous area
installation.

External leakage prevention
Leakage from the valve stem area is
prevented by double sealing with 2 O-rings
and gland gasket. Leakage through the valve
body joint is also blocked by double sealing
with O-ring and body gasket. After a fire has
deteriorated O-rings, gland gasket, body
gasket and stem firesafe packing are the
measure that prevents external fluid leakage.
When non-metal materials such as O-ring,
seat insert and spacer are decomposed or
deteriorated by fire, the edge of the metal
seat preloaded by the seat spring comes into
contact with the
Ball to shut off the line fluid to minimize internal leakage through the
valve bore. Also the fire safe flexible graphite seat packing will be
compressed by the seat spring to prevent fluid leakage between the
valve body and the seat.

Expanding gate design is versatile in that it provides a
mechanical seal between the seats and the gate ensuring
valve integrity at both high and low line pressure. The
expanding gate valve does not rely on line pressure to seal
and is recommended for appl ications when a t ight
mechanical seal is required.

Since slab gate design is double block valve, so when valve
is in closed position valve cavity pressure may increase due
to thermal expansion. If cavity pressure exceeds line
pressure, the up-steam seat is forced slightly away from the
gate surface and the excess pressure in the body is
discharged into the line to restore the pressure balance
between the body cavity and the line.
Emergency Sealant Injection System
For 6 and larger valve will be installed with a sealant injection
fitting on both stem and seats (for expending gate valve only on
stem). So when sealing materials (PTFE seat insert or stem o-
ring) are damaged or decomposed by fire or other accidental
causes, leakage from the seat and stem can be prevented by
injection of sealant into these fittings. Fitting also internally

Through conduit valves are widely used for oil and gas
pipeline service. This type of valve has such function that,
when fully opened, media passage capability superior to
valves in use for general secondary process line, it can
also be capable for pig ball Cleaning service.
Neway through conduit gate valves are available in
Slab Gate and Expanding Gate design and both are
fully comply with API 6D standard.

When valve is in closed position and there is an equal or no
pressure throughout the valve, 2 spring-loaded floating seats
can shut off the line fluid independently on the upstream and
downstream side, allowing double block operation.(Fig.1)

When line pressure is applied to the valve, it will acts on the gate,
forcing it float against the downstream seat, and form a tight seal
on downstream seat. Also an upstream seal can be provided by
the force of line pressure acting against the upstream seat to the
gate.(Fig.2)

The seat rings are designed with spring loaded floating type

Expanding gate design is versatile in that it provides a
mechanical seal between the seats and the gate ensuring
valve integrity at both high and low line pressure. The
expanding gate valve does not rely on line pressure to seal
and is recommended for appl ications when a t ight
mechanical seal is required.

Since slab gate design is double block valve, so when valve
is in closed position valve cavity pressure may increase due
to thermal expansion. If cavity pressure exceeds line
pressure, the up-steam seat is forced slightly away from the
gate surface and the excess pressure in the body is
discharged into the line to restore the pressure balance
between the body cavity and the line.
Emergency Sealant Injection System
For 6 and larger valve will be installed with a sealant injection
fitting on both stem and seats (for expending gate valve only on
stem). So when sealing materials (PTFE seat insert or stem o-
ring) are damaged or decomposed by fire or other accidental
causes, leakage from the seat and stem can be prevented by
injection of sealant into these fittings. Fitting also internally

Through conduit valves are widely used for oil and gas
pipeline service. This type of valve has such function that,
when fully opened, media passage capability superior to
valves in use for general secondary process line, it can
also be capable for pig ball Cleaning service.
Neway through conduit gate valves are available in
Slab Gate and Expanding Gate design and both are
fully comply with API 6D standard.

When valve is in closed position and there is an equal or no
pressure throughout the valve, 2 spring-loaded floating seats
can shut off the line fluid independently on the upstream and
downstream side, allowing double block operation.(Fig.1)
Double block & Bleed
When line pressure is applied to the valve, it will acts on the gate,
forcing it float against the downstream seat, and form a tight seal
on downstream seat. Also an upstream seal can be provided by
the force of line pressure acting against the upstream seat to the
gate.(Fig.2)

Series BW Fully Welded Ball Valves

Neway series BW ball valves are a fully welded body
and trunnion mounted ball valve, available in from size
2 to 60 ANSI class from 150 to 2500, temperature
range from -46 to 200 . Fire safe conforming to BS
6755 and API 6Fa.
Compared to flanged split body trunnion mounted ball
valves, ful ly welded body valves el iminate the
possibility of leakage through the body connection. The
fully welded body design is compact, cost-efficient and
provides maximum strength and maximum resistance
to pipeline pressures and stresses. In order to avoid
internal damage caused by heat transfer during
installation/welding, the valves are designed with
extended weld ends.
The fully welded body ball valve is preferred in
applications such as long-distance transport pipelines
and under-ground services.
