Series 1
Population growth • From year to year the growth rate in Pasir Mas were increasing
Air quality • Was in good condition because this area did not have any industrial factories
that can contribute to the worst air pollution
Biodiversity • Water quality of Kelantan river was not in good performance and condition as
we can see the colour of the river was brown in colour and this meant that the river were having high sedimentation but still can use for daily usage
Waste and recycling• The solid waste management was handled by Majlis Daerah Pasir Mas. They
operated everyday but some area such as around wet market was in bad condition because sellers there not having enough awareness and cooperation due to the handling of waste.
• Only some items were recycled in this area such as metal, steel, copper, bottles (ketchup, sauces but no plastic bottles). So this can concluded as the residents or peoples in this area are not practicing recycling.
Eco footprint (Impact of the development, services, housing, transport and consumable on the environment).
• The development in Pasir Mas gives high impact to the environment. Many buildings were built and residential houses developed encircle the town.
