1.0 SCOPE
The goal of this guide is make a list of setting regarding pressure, type of nozzle and type of machine suitable to
spray a Sika’s products
This setting could be help the applicator that use Sika products like waterproofing, anticorrosion systems, fire
proofing, injection, exc.
2.0 WHO IS LARIUS?
Larius born in Lecco in 1969, where product and sell spray machine in a range of products includes small
professional paint spraying equipment and advanced systems for paints, enamels and coating applications used also
in big industrial plants for automatic process with liquid and powder paints.

3.0 TYPE OF MACHINE
3.1 AIRLESS PUMP WITH ELECTRIC PISTON
The electric piston airless pump is a device used for high pressure paint without the aid of air. The pump is driven by
an electric motor coupled to a gear reduction unit. An eccentric shaft and a connecting rod allow the "alternative
motion" necessary to the operation of the "pumping unit" (suction valve, pump piston, material seal gaskets) that
feeds the material is that the piston is in the ascending phase, whether it has in descending phase: the pump sucks
the material and pushes it to the exit.
3.2 AIRLESS PUMP WITH ELECTRIC DIAPHRAGM
The airless electric diaphragm pump is a device used for high pressure paint spraying without atomising. The pump
is driven by an electric motor or combustion which transmits its rotary motion to a cam, in continuous contact with
a piston immersed in a "room" full of oil. The piston with its alternate action sucks the oil pushing it in pressure
against the diaphragm, highly elastic and resistant material, which starts to oscillate with the same frequency as the
piston. This action creates a depression: the product is sucked and pushed by the diaphragm itself, towards the
Pistolet spray for painting.
A special valve allows the regulation of the oil circuit pressure and consequently the pressure of the product at the
output.
3.3 MIST-LESS PUMP
The pneumatic pumps and accessories of the Vega series, Omega and Ghibli work using the principle of painting
mist-less: high pressure painting with air assistance. The atomization takes place by passing the product
at a pressure not less than 60 bar through an opening called "nozzle of small size".
The range of equipment and accessories allows to satisfy every need, determined by the type of material, the
required flow rate and the desired finish.
The mist-less painting joins airless technology with those of low pressure

13.0 HEALT AND SAFETY RACCOMANDATION
Handling or processing resin based floor materials might causeirritation to the eyes, skin, nose and throat.
Therefore an appropriate eye protection shall be worn at all times while handling and resin based floor materials.
Safety shoes, gloves and other appropriate skin protection shall be worn at all times.
Always wash hands with suitable soap after handling products and before food consumption.
