Introduction:Someofthelargestbarrierstoeffectiveconservationandmanagementofmigratoryanimalsisourabilitytodeterminetheimportanceofvariouslandscapesandhowtheyareutilizedthroughouttheirannualcycle.Ourlandscapeincludesnumerousgeographic(e.g.GulfofMexico,GreatLakes,mountains)andanthropogenicfeatures(majorurbancenters,industrial,utilityandtransportationinfrastructure)thatmightinfluencemigratoryanimalsuseofandmovementthroughthelandscape.Gainingabetterunderstandingoftheseprocesseswillhelpdecision-makersandotherstakeholdersmakeinformedandecologicallysounddecisionswithregardstowildlifemanagement,policy,andregulation.
