FederalPellGrant(PELL):Afederalgrantforeligiblestudentsbasedonfamilyresources,costofattendance,andenrollment;awardamountsaredeterminedbyascheduledevelopedbytheU.S.DepartmentofEducation.Pellamountswillreflectthenumberofcreditsyouareenrolledin.Ifyouareregisteredforlessthan12creditsyourPellgrantwillbereducedtotheallowablelimitbasedontheU.S.DepartmentofEducation'sschedule.ThereisalimittotheamountofFederalPellmoneystudentscanreceive.Ifyouarewithdrawingfromclassesand/ornotpassingclassing,youmayreachyourPelllimit.TheFederalProcessordeterminesifastudenthasmettheireligibilitylimitandwillbeincontactwithstudentsthatareindangerofrunningoutofeligibility.

FederalSupplementaryEducationalOpportunityGrant(SEOG):AgrantofmoneyprovidedbythefederalgovernmentandawardedbyMontclairStatetoassistundergraduatestudentswithexceptionalfinancialneed.RecipientsmustbeeligibleforaPellgrant.

TeacherEducationAssistanceforCollegeandHigherEducationGrant(TEACHGRANT):Afederalgrantofupto$4000peryeartostudentswhointendtoteachindesignatedhighneedfieldsinapublicorprivateelementaryorsecondaryschoolthatservesstudentsfromlowincomefamilies.IfyoureceiveaTEACHgrant,butdonotcompletetherequiredteachingservice,youwillberequiredtorepaythegrantasaFederalUnsubsidizedStaffordLoan,withtheinterestchargedfromthedateofeachTEACHGrantdisbursement.StudentsmustbeadmittedintoaprogramwithaTeacherEducationcertificationtoqualifyforthegrant.ThisgrantisonlyavailabletoeligibleJunior,SeniorandGraduatestudents.
