ike is global head of the Insurance Asset Management and theLiquidity Solutions businesses withinGoldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM).The Insurance Asset Management business isresponsible for providing solutions toinsurance companies seeking to outsource themanagement of their balance sheet assets,including traditional and alternative assetclasses. The Liquidity Solutions business isresponsible for the management of GSAMmoney market funds and short duration fixedincome products. He also serves as a seniormanaging director champion for theDisability Interest Forum. Mike has extensive insurance andinvestment experience in structuring andmanaging portfolios across a broad range offixed income and equity asset classes and hasbeen responsible for businesses withinConsumer and Investment Management(CIMD) and the Securities Division.Previously, he was responsible for the

Americas Markets Solutions Group withinCIMD and also led the Insurance IndustryResource Group, which works closely withinsurers on asset-liability management, assetallocation, capital allocation and riskmanagement issues. During his time in the Securities Division,Mike oversaw the development of newproducts and the coordination of structuringefforts across product areas, includingEquities, Interest Rates, Credit Products,Currencies, Commodities, and Municipals.He was co-head of the Municipal StructuredProducts business and responsible forderivative marketing to North Americaninsurance companies, banks, agencies,pension funds, hedge funds and mutualfunds. Mike first joined Goldman Sachs in1986, rejoined the firm as a managingdirector in 2000 and was named partner in2012. Prior to rejoining the firm, Mike spent fouryears at General Reinsurance, where he wasresponsible for North American marketing

for the General Re Financial Products subsidiary, working closely with General Re’s insuranceclients.
