Welcome to a Radically Different business education
I have had the privilege to be at the helm of the ITM-Group of Institutions since the very beginning, and I have had the unique pleasure of witnessing thousands of careers taking off and dreams coming true, as our students turn to face the world, emboldened by their experiences at ITM and their desire to start something big.
You are reading this message because you too, are looking forward to start something that you hope will transform your life, your career and even the planet! I am confident you have taken the first steps towards making that transformation happen.
The MBA/PGDM is in a state of crisis, as business schools have taken the easy way out for too long. At ITM, we’ve realized this and have gone back to our roots and questioned everything we have taken for granted. In the last year, I have personally led an initiative to dramatically change how we prepare students for business careers, called The Rethink Project.
Over the last two years I have personally met hundreds of CEOs and industry leaders and sought their insight and their expectations of business school graduates. We have looked inward, and broken down our PGDM program, cast away the parts that were obsolete and completely redesigned the PGDM. In the pages ahead, you will read just how radical the changes are!
Over the years, we have come to pride on our “Merit as the only currency accepted” philosophy for admissions. ITM-Business School has never “sold a seat” nor do we believe in the practice of collecting donations or capitation fees or allow influence or lobbying to affect our admissions process. Complete transparency and equal opportunity for all have been ITM’s bedrock principles for admissions.
- Dr. P.V. Ramana
Chairperson
ITM-Group of Institutions
“You have already taken the first decision – to seriously consider studying for a career in Business. By reading this prospectus you are into the next decision phase – which business school do I choose?
Not all PGDM programs or all schools are the same and an increasingly important question asked by potential employers is...“Where did you get your PGDM?”
11
Dear Stakeholders,
We are witnessing a wholesome shift in demand for post graduate education in management with a caveat that there is a need for an increasing modularization and flexibility within all types of formal training, an increasing demand for personal development and a shift fr¬om managed career structures to flexible, experiential and informal approaches. As an educator, ITM has recognized this shift in the thought process on management education from ‘academic liberalism’ to creating ‘critical practitioners’.
Reengineering of management education is a clear mandate for educators and the axis of focus has now shifted to creating a new learning platform, jointly anchored with the industry. Our highly appreciated and industry acknowledged PGDM iConnect Program delivers cutting edge curriculum, impactful long term internships and has proven to be a huge value differentiator for recruiters.
The primary thought process behind the PGDM iConnect program was to develop effective leaders and new age entrepreneurs given the changing landscape of globalization, innovation and rapid technology adoption. Given this background, it was pertinent to rebalance the curricula with a greater focus on skill building, personality development and techniques that are core to the practice of management. The idea was to stem the growing deficit on skills and attitude required for insightful analysis and decision-making.
The thought process was to also align academia with industry and an intensive and extensive industry internship immersion was the answer. Therefore the duration of the internship period has been scaled to 5 months, typically replicating a probation period. The ITM PGDM iConnect program is radically different, rebuilt to deliver targeted learning, real-world experience and all-round personal development.
We recognize the challenges you face in finding the right skill set coupled with the right attitude for potential positions arising this year and promise to assist you in accomplishing this goal. I look forward to a long-term association with you and your continuous support in placement of our students. I cordially invite you on Campus for Placement of the Class of 2015.
With warm regards,
Dr. Ganesh Raja

The IFM MBA has certainly been worth the investment in terms of my time and money and has helped to excel in my professional career.
Jinendra Jain, Passout Year 2006, Deputy Manager , Motilal Oswal
To achieve my career goals, I required a comprehensive knowledge about the latest developments and techniques in the global financial markets and hands-on experience of financial analysis. The curriculum at ITM-IFM offers both – a working understanding of the financial decision-making process in an organization as well as insight into how financial markets function. The College has equipped me with necessary education and confidence to face the challenge and advance in my career and continue to set goals and grow professionally.
