N ur sin g R e sponsibili tie s:Obtain patient history of infection before and during therapy to
assess responseAssess patient for signs and symptoms of infection, fever,
characteristics of wounds, sputum, urine, stool, ear ache, and WBCcount
Obtain CNS before drug therapy to identify if correct treatmenthas been initiated
Assess for allergic or hypersensitivity reactions: chills, fever, joint pain, pruritus and rash.
Monitor renal function: urine output, urinalysis: protein andblood.
Assess for over growth of infection: perineal itching, fever, malaise, redness, pain, swelling, drainage, rash, diarrhea, or changein character of cough and sputum.

lightheadedness or fainting; shortness of breath; skin rash or itching;swelling of eyelids, face, or lips
N ur sin g R e sponsibili tie s:
If you take warfarin(a blood thinner, you should know that vitamin kor food containing vitami k can affect the the drug
Vitamin K deficiency is very rare. It occurs when the cody cantproperl absorb the vitamihn from the intestinal tract
Vitamin k deficiency can also occur after long term treatment withantibiotics
If you are taking anticoagulant medicines(bloodthinners), the amountof vitamin k in your diet may affect how well these these medicinework.
