New developed EUFODOS Downstream Services focus on forest degradation issues with high relevance in Europe, e.g. storm damage
Achievements can be transferred to a Pan-European Level for RUSH and NON-RUSH services
To provide information on damage in forests for all member states in a uniform approach as a new Core Service
Pan-European Monitoring Service on Forest Damage

A new EU Forest Strategy: for forests and the forest-based sector (COM (2013) 659 final
European Commission Green Paper (COM (2010) 66 final) is stating the need for more harmonised and readily available information about EU forests
EEA, focussing on environmental issues of European relevance and acting for the European Commission in support of European policies has a strong need for information on forests and status
EFI (namely EFICENT and OEF) is developing the European Forest Risk Facility System (FRISK GO)
