THANK YOU THISTLE RIDGE RANCH
Canadian Junior Angus Association Donation Heifer
Thank you to Thistle Ridge Ranch – Ben and Carol Tams and family for their generous donation of pick of the 2015 Thistle Ridge heifer calves. The proceeds will go directly to the Canadian Junior Angus scholarship program, from which $4,500 in scholarships is awarded annually to members of the CJAA. Again this year, the heifer will be sold by a Dutch auction, just before the Masterpiece Sale commences.
Dutch Auction procedure:
• The final bid in each round will denote the amount of that bidder’s donation. Ex: Round 1 – Final Bid is $300 to John Doe. John’s donation is $300. Round 2 – Final Bid is $250 to Tom Jones. Tom’s donation is $250. Round 3 – the heifer is re-auctioned on a downward scale until no further bids are received.
• Each $10 purchased (donated) represents one chance in the draw. Ex: John Doe has 30 chances, Tom Jones has 25 chances and so on down the scale.
• One ticket for every $10, bearing the contributors name, will be entered in the draw.• At the end of the sale, one ticket will be drawn with that person winning PICK OF THE 2015 THISTLE RIDGE HEIFER CALVES
THISTLE RIDGE RANCH on giving backThistle Ridge Ranch of Taber, AB is family owned by Ben and Carol Tams and their four children Jackie, Nolan, Gideon and Jude. Thistle Ridge is a no nonsense seedstock source - total herd performance, ultrasound carcass evaluation and sound selection practices are high priorities in keeping their program in the forefront.
Red Bieber Rollin Deep Y118 daughters could be a choice. His success as a sire is well documented as his sons topped each sale they appeared in, selling as high as $60,000. Red SSS Endorse, LSF Bulletproof, TR Entourage and many more round out the Red sire groups.
The Connealy Stimulus 8419 and Kodiak influence throughout the Black heifers is most apparent. Ben and Carol consider developing juniors through education, together with experiencing the larger world around them, as a high priority. Family commitment, community involvement, 4-H and more - always of life at their place.
Choice to be made by April 1, 2016.
WELCOME FROM CASTLEROCK
1
Welcome to the 2015 editon of the “Masterpiece Sale”, this long standing event has always been synonymous to great cattle selling at Canada’s premiere livestock event, Agribition. For many years I would await for the Masterpiece catalogue to come in the mail to see what was coming to Regina for the show and sale. In today’s terms I get excited headed out to select these cattle from the many prominent herds across Canada and getting that sneak peak to see how their new herdbulls are breeding or which cows are ringing the bell with the great calf this year. Being involved with this great sale since 2003 there have been many relationships which have grown over time and the overall familiarity of the cowherd and programs. In many cases the opportunity to see purchases from years ago still producing and becoming a cornerstone in the respective programs is almost as rewarding for me as it is their owners. You want to talk about a brain cramp after a great day of selecting cattle and all the good ones sticking out in your mind makes it hard to wind down and get rested up for the same the following day. It’s one of the greatest rushes that anyone can experience including a huge appreciation for the breeders who work hard to putting forward a genetic product that is going to be profitable for their new owners. That is all any breeder can ask for!
We have gathered an extremely strong set of heifer calves that are fancy but most importantly designed to be a great mother cow. The bred heifers again this year are very strong in their class and will present the buyer with a tremendous opportunity to clip a great coupon within a few months after being purchased. We have a bull calf this year that rose to the top as an extremely complete made bull calf that comes from perhaps on the most interesting combinations genetically that will be available this fall. Now to the genetics section, we have a lineup that is second to none coming from the Angus worlds leading breeders. Be sure to get down to Agribition this year and soak up the great times in the cattle business filled with great cattle and of course the comraderie that one can never get enough of when you’re amongst so many Angus breeders and enthusiasts.
If you are unable to attend Agribition please feel welcome to contact any of the consignors, sales staff or ourselves at Castlerock Marketing to discuss this unique offering! We will be on site from Sunday before the sale through the whole week!
See you sale day!Shane Castle

POPLAR MEADOWS ANGUSBull Calf Consigned By
The opportunity here really is Unlimited. When we stepped out and bought Aviator we had a vision of what he could bring to our herd and boy has he brought it. He is an unbelievable calving ease bull without sacrificing growth, superb muscle pattern and soundness. Unlimited carries himself with the proud confidence of a herd bull. His donor dam is a tank. I selected her as one of the high sellers in the Crowfoot dispersal. Her last years son sold to 6U Cattle Co. We would like to retain 1/3 interest in the bull and no possession. So if you like your cattle stout, moderate and sound this is your bull.

The Karama cow family is becoming a household name in the Angus breed and are making their place in history here at Remitall Farms. Prominent herd bulls Remitall F Odyssey 67X and Remitall F Rage 9A stem from the powerful Karama cow family. Karama 2C has all the attributes to fulfill her genetic potential and carry on the maternal strength she possesses. She is a real eye catching, long bodied, elegant made female with loads shape and body mass. Her dam was the 2013 Canadian Western Agribition Reserve Grand Champion Female with Remitall F Rage 9A at side. Rage 9A soon became the High Selling Bull in the 2014 Remitall Farms Bull Sale at $40,000 and is already making his mark in the Angus breed. The grand dam, Brookmore Karama 100T is truly an dynamic producer, raising

Her dam, is a knockout cow by the every popular SAV Density and she is like every other daughter of his….awesome. Great grand dam to this heifer calf is the Blackcap 15H cow whose progeny were always well accepted and has had a major impact in our herd since coming from Elliot Angus at Maidstone. We think you will appreciate Blackcap 21C for her big rib, wide hip set, overall eye appeal and a coat of hair that would choke a disc bine.
herdbulls and top sellers. She was herself, the High Selling Female in the 2011 Black Magic Sale at $26,500 to Boss Cattle Co. in Nebraska. Karama 2C is sired by one of the most popular bulls in recent time, SAV Harvestor 0338. The Harvestor progeny are easy fleshing, big hipped, lots of spring of rib, wided topped with loads of hair. This is a huge opportunity to own a female with tremendous genetic potential and cow family traditon.

Sankey’s Justified dominated the show ring in the fall of 2012, winning the NILE, MT, American Royal, MO, and 2013 National
Here’s a really attractive heifer that will undoubtedly be competitive in the junior division. She’s tanky and correct with a presence that commands attention. Her sire is a full brother to the dominant show bull EXAR Blue Chip. He’s the product of the mating of two of history’s most popular and prolific Denver champions, being sired by the triple crown winner, Dameron First Class and out of the immortal Green’s Princess 1012, who has produced in excess of 1.65 million in progeny sales at Express alone. Pride 5087C’s maternal side locks in productivity and longevity with Visa, Forte, Luke, and the Pride family. Merit Pride 1004 and her dam Merit Pride 9010 are two of the most prolific females in our 30
Western Stock Show in Denver. Justamere secured a majority interest in the bull and the rest is becoming history. Justified has been siring fancy, easy doing, correct females that always catch your eye, while becoming productive females. This consignment from Justamere and Enview is certainly special as she comes from one of the oldest cow families at Justamere, and they have become the backbone of the herd. Don’t forget the DAJS All Star bull who was Grand Champion in Fort Worth and Reserve Grand Champion in Reno as well as being the sire of over a dozen NJAS class winners, he’s made his mark. Desire’s maternal grandsire, Panama Jack was Reserve Champion Bull in Denver in 2010. All the show accolades aside, this heifer has all the attributes to be a front pasture female in the end.

The Annie K name is synonymous with some of the great cows in the Angus breed. The grand dam Annie K 11S is an elite cow in the CAA with four calves average ratio of 107. Here is a pedigree stacked full, top and bottom, with many of the breed’s proven top genetics old and new. Kodiak 5R, Leachman Right Time, HF Tiger 5T, HF Rebel 53Y have certainly made their mark in the breed with ultimate calving ease predictability, picture perfect udders and total maternal traits over the top. Annie K 123C possesses so much length, top, muscle shape and yet doesn’t give up any style, character or Angus presence while doing so. Here is a prospect that can potentially pump out the great herd bulls, or a pasture full of maternal factories! Progeny from this pedigree have gone into top herds like Blairs Bros, Bruhn Angus, Iowa, Poplar Meadows Angus
boast about her dam, a powerful Tiger daughter that never goes unnoticed when people tour the herd, and a grand dam that was one of the most popular cows ever shown by Hamilton Farms - HF Blackbird 99G. Blackbird was crowned champion many times throughout the years, and remains in the pedigrees of a number of top producing cows in the herd. This is our second year offering Pleasant Valley Lute progeny and they consistently filter to the top. They topped our consignments in various sales last fall and we don’t think they will disappoint us this year! Four heifer calves averaged just shy of $20,000. Pleasant Valley Lute was purchased from the Stablers in Maryland, through the Denver Bull Sale 2013 for $23,000.
Lute has certainly stamped his progeny with the muscle shape, structural correctness, and Angus eye appeal that is hard to miss! Lute can certainly brag about his dam and full sister being downed Grand Champion Females in the Denver Stock Show in 2010 and 2014 respectively, quite a feat!

Here is a BIG, STOUT daughter sired by our senior walking bull, Lindells Yeager who has seen heavy service in our program. Visitors always comment on the Yeagers saying they are a very uniform and correct group that look like peas in a pod. The maternal line that this calf posseses is one of the strongest in our herd as well. The dam of 73C, is a Tiger daughter of HF Blackbird 145P who was Supreme Champion Female in Agribition in 2006 as a two-year-old. She has 15 female descendants in our herd today. We invite you to come to our stall at Agribition and tell you the whole story. We will have two daughters of Blackbird 145P in our string at Agribition. This cow family breeds true, come have a look.
sale day! Her dam is a full sister to Harvest Headliner 2W who won his division at Agribition in 2009. Her granddam is HF Echo 101N who’s career ended for us just this summer, leaving us with 17 sons and daughters. We currently have 5 daughters in our own herd. OCC Doctor 940D is without a doubt the best breeding son of 9FB3 Fullback. Doctor’s dam, CH Dixie Erica 1019 might be the greatest cow that ever graced the pastures for Ohlde Cattle Co, she is the dam of Great Plains, Emblazon, Echelon, Exodus and Focus. That’s just the tip of the iceberg as many of her daughters went on to be the dams of Moonshine, Homer, Jupiter and Prestige. Stop by and analyze this calf on her own merit, she could be the next one to write her own chapter for her new owner.

Everyone loves Lucy and this heifer will be no exception, she is out of our outcross breeding machine Lookout Zorro 80Z whose first sons averaged near $9000 this spring. We think his females will be the highlight of the legacy he will leave. Check out this heifer’s birthdate, she’s an end of March heifer and everyday she keeps rolling on and coming into her own. Last fall we sold our first Zorro daughter at the Masterpiece to Charles Oakley in Quebec at $8700. To follow up the outcross pedigree on the top side check out the different pedigree on the bottom side, Muldonado and Vision both bulls that have done exceptionally well for us backed by tremendous cows families all throughout this pedigree.
the long standing prestigious Masterpiece Sale! The Lady Whitney’s are a very solid and consistent cow family here at Eastondale! Lady Whitney 06’15 has a different pedigree to a lot of the Angus genetics being used at this time, but yet is full of solid proven producing cattle. There were only 3 or 4 breeders who used Coleman Charlo in their breeding programs, if you haven’t seen or heard of Charlo and get a chance Google him and have a look at the this impressive individual in his you tube video. He is wide based and masculine with ample natural muscling! 06’13s dam is a deep made solid Angus cow that has consistently produced here. We sold a son in one of our bull sales who went to work in the LCL Angus herd at Coronation Alberta, and we have also sold sisters to this Masterpiece entry to Triple L Angus
& Clarence Hookenson and have one maternal sister working in our herd. Lady Whitney 06’15 herself is good haired and deep sided in her makeup and we strongly believe in her! Hope to visit with you at Agribition or we would gladly visit with you at anytime to answer questions about our consignment!!

One of the biggest days of our life was when we went to the Calgary Bull Sale to take a hard run at buying Belvin Panic Switch, when the dust settled and $26,000 later we were headed home with the bull. Since arriving at LCL Panic Switch has done nothing but impress us from day one in his extremely gentle demeanour, breeding prowess and when his first calves hit the ground we continued to be ecstatic with him. Fast forward to 2015 and we have now sold two sets of sons and calved our first daughters this spring and he has just kept continuing on to be the bull we wanted him to be. Easy calving, good growth, quiet and daughters are excellent. In our 2015 Bull Sale we averaged $6978 on our Panic Switch sons with tremendous commercial and purebred support. Lucy’s dam is also a cow that has been excellent since coming to our herd, great
as much rib as you will find in a young female! A daughter of SAV Pioneer 7301, she is built from the ground up with a great set of feet and legs. Combine this with her feminine front end and extension of neck and you can really see the Pioneer stamp on her. Her dam is a real good Net Worth daughter that goes back to Crescent Creek and Terrlene herds. Dana 4C posted a weaning weight on August 2nd of 792 lbs, be sure to check her out!
udder, easy fleshing and very sound cow and her production is excellent as we can see with this heifer calf. Lucy 16C is as expected, very quiet, structurally sound heifer with a good wide stance and a sharp front end. This is our first trip to Agribition as a consignor and we are happy to bring our very best to town.

502C comes from a real strong cow family that started out with a female from Cockburn Red Angus through the Seniorita Sale in Swift Current. Her dam, 111X is a terrific Roy Rogers cow that has 2 daughters retained in herd and one son to Barret Wright of Aneroid this past spring.this spring as well that went to Stolson Farms. This fancy heifer has caught anyone and everyone’s eye all year. Dark red, great hair, sound structure makes this heifer one to take out on the show road or put her in the pasture and watch her become an excellent cow. The Ribeye cattle have proven their worth wherever they’ve gone from our program and many others. Predictable genetics at its best.
Our second year in the sale and again we gave Shane the pick of the heifer calves! We at Forest Gate Ranch are very excited about this heifer calf and her potential, whether it’s the show ring or the pasture she will excel. 4C’s dam is a moderate framed cow with excellent foot and leg structure and an udder that’s picture perfect. Essence 4C is a very clean made heifer that is put together well in a moderate package with a ton of width and natural muscle. Don’t miss out on this great female sale day!

The Missy cow family is one that we are very proud of for many reasons, most importantly they are sound, productive
19C is a very moderate, balanced, long, deep-bodied heifer. The consistency this cow family has at Wright Livestock is very evident. The impact this young heifer could have on the Red Angus breed is limitless. She will be one of the first daughters off Red Six Mile & Co Jagger 780A the Reserve Champion Red Angus Bull at the 2014 CWA to sell at public auction. She is powerful, stout, and we think very good.
females that are doing a great job. They’ve also become the backbone of our herd as they continue to flourish every year. Cub and Chateau have formed a strong nucleus for us in the never ending quest to keep making the cow herd the best we can. This is the first set of calves out of the LSF Forecast bull and we are quite pleased with the job he has done. Not only will the EPDs impress you but their overall quality, power and performance that he has sired for us has left us more then impressed. This heifer calf comes off the top of the herd as we gave Shane free reign to pick for this sale.

Ruby 130C is a herd favorite and has always had a presence about herself that caught my attention. She was earmarked to go to Red Round Up this fall however another calf ended up making the trip. I believe that this long spined, heavily muscled and eye appealing calf would have been a contender in that mighty heifer calf line up. This March born female easily competes with the older calves from our calf crop as she currently ranks in the top one third of the breed for performance. She is out of our Sr. herdsire Red Mar Mac Indicator 30Z who has stamped his progeny with an abundance of muscle while adding extra dimension to his progeny’s rib design. The Ruby cow family originates from a purchase from the Moose Creek Estate Dispersal, this family has been a very consistent producing group. Stop by our Yards Display to view this calf and have a visit about your breeding program.

We were very pleased to find a son of Sequoia out of one of Bryan’s top females Red XXX Lakme 70M. The udder and foot under 70M is second to none not to mention her 39 progeny. Sequoia 212X has left us a very nice set of low birth weight males and females with wicked good eye appeal. This little lady entered the world with a light birthweight and never looked back. She has the eye appeal we are looking for and she is very well put together. Her young dam Pteet 34Z did a great job on her first calf with a bull sired by Hitch that made it into our bull sale. She has done it again with this sweet made Sequoia 212X daughter. Grand dam Pteet 265X has one of the top bull calves this year as well – you can check him out in bull pen alley. Top end females will raise a good one no matter what you breed them to. Once again never underestimate the strength of cow family. The homework is done on this one!

Our philosophy of “sell only what you would buy” is truly practiced here. This is a gorgeous female that we are extremely proud to offer. Annie K 134B is very much the complete package. We have been told by a fellow breeder that this may be the most complete bred we have ever offered up at our place. She is feminine, angular, structurally sound and very eye appealing. She has been very easy to halter break. The Annie K cow family is well known and has been incredibly successful in the show ring and in producing quality cattle in numerous herds. One might ask, “Troy, why are you selling this female?” In the answer, I would refer you to our philosophy and then tell you her dam is a young cow and we hope will produce top end females moving forward. 134B’s dam has a rip of a March
red, extra stout with as much rib as you can fit into a heifer calf with a super front end. She is sired by our choice from Thistle Ridge a few years back and combines of Ben’s top flush cows, outcross by the way and the highly valued Bieber Rolling Deep. Incidentally 25 straws of Rolling Deep semen just sold for $8750 at the Chinook Classic to Lauron who purchased an initial package to begin with. The dam side of this power heifer is carrying with her an outcross pedigree as well being sired by the former show bull, Bold Leader.
bull calf this year. We are very pleased with this purchase to this point. Annie K 134B was AI ed to Connealy Thunder on May 7th. The vet’s ultrasound pregnancy check, on August 18th, called her safe to calf mid-February. She was exposed to Windy Willows Boomer 98B from May 19th-Aug 31st. The Thunder cattle we have at our place are very good. They come out easy, full of vigor and grow well in deep sided, attractive and structurally sound cattle. 134B’s calf should be no exception.

Oak Lane Darling 2B is an outstanding bred heifer. Darling 2B is very feminine, clean shouldered with lots of depth and great spring of rib. She has been shown very successfully by Tullamore this past year being Reserve Junior Champion at Peterborough ; Junior and Grand Champion Female at Orangeville; and Junior Champion and Reserve Grand Champion at the Lindsay Point Show. Her pedigree has it all, Gambles Hot Rod, Freedom 104 and Southland Full Throttle 15R who did an outstanding job here at Tullamore. Selling Full interest and Full possession of one of Mulberry’s greatest daughters ever. What a sight to behold when you get a look at her! She is one of those cows whose body mass, whose overall size and scale plus volume will forever be burned in your retinas. She is almost to much female for the average Joe....Almost I said! She has a near perfect foot and an udder and a disposition that’s second to none. She has been flushed four times at DRI and averaged 11 embryos per flush. We would entertain the conversation about managing this cow should the new owner desire. Call for more details we would be happy to talk to you about the potential she really has. She will be delivered wherever she needs to go at no charge to the new owner.AI to Arson 85U on May 12thExposed to Black Brylor Kodiak 204Y June 1st to July 1st
2003 when we purchased her out of the Masterpiece Sale here at Agribition! 12B comes from the very foundations of our herd and examplifies what we are striving for; broodiness, power, and low maintenance. Three of 12B’s maternal sisters are working in our herd and her gorgeous Sakic dam is proving to be one of our top producers year after year. Unfortunately we only got one purebred calf crop off her sire Yoda 2Y as he was injured that breeding season but we are confident his daughters are going to lay down gorgeous udders and pass on the his low birth weight/high growth traits. She is carrying the service to our new up and coming herd sire, Brunson 357B, an exciting son of Red MRLA New Era 87Y. Rush Lake 71’12 took the Angus barn by storm in the fall of 2012 when he and his dam were the talk. With his dam going to Boss Cattle Co in the USA, Stauffer Ranches withstood the heavy competition to own this $70,000 unique breeding piece. He went out as a yearling and bred extremely well holding his condition well while continuing to impress in the way the young bull carried himself across the pasture as a young bull. You will drive a lot of miles to find a bull as complete, sound and sires the consistent kind that Rush Lake does, that is every breeders dream. He’s passed all the tests to date and calving his first set of daughters next spring is something that we are looking forward to. The females show a great amount of broodiness in their design. In the 2014 a “pick of the Rush Lake” calves was offered at this Masterpiece Sale and at $31,000 Bar 4A of La Glace, AB selected a yearling bull to work in their rapidly growing Angus herd. There is tremendous value in the calves off of Rush Lake with
their great hair coats, flashy look, good spring of rib with depth and muscle that brings calves like his to the top every time. A limited amount of semen has been released to date and his progeny have done exceptionally well in those herds, that’s the true test of a breeding bull.

Any Black Angus female on the ranch at LaGlace, AB is eligible to be chosen, none held back - guaranteed! Choice must be made before December 31, 2015. The Black Angus side of Bar 4A got it’s start with the Double A cows that come from the Toftlands in the Peace Country, they are a herd that carried a big stick back in the day in the Angus world. In the fall of 2012 Bar 4A purchased numerous Black cows from the Geis dispersal, last week in Olds the Black bred heifers were well received as a hot commodity with many of them being direct daughters of those cows purchased at the dispersal. A large group of bred heifers came up from U2 Ranch at Coaldale as well as the purchase of the K-Deen herd at Wetaskawin.
The total number of cows, bred heifers, and heifer calves is around 250. It’s a genetic wonderland of females to find your next Donor cow or awesome show heifer. Over the last year Bar 4A has blown the doors off their Black herdbull battery with the $31,000 Pick of the Rush Lake calves from Stauffer Ranches, as well they picked up the $16,500 Density 302A from Stauffers. Another Density grandson was purchased from Wiwa Creek and their esteemed herd.
Hugh and Jo will include a personally guided tour (with all records available for your selection info), and some of the best hospitality you can find. If you choose to drive to LaGlace that’s fine but if you wish to fly into Grande Prairie on WestJet you can (for up to 2 people) at NO CHARGE from anywhere WestJet flies in Canada. Hugh and Jo will pick you up, tour you through the cows, breds and heifer calves, and the treat you to a great dinner in Grande Prairie all for the one bid price. Accommodations provided as well for one night in Grande Prairie. If you haven’t had the opportunity to spend a lot of time with Hugh and Jo rest assure you will have a blast. Great young breeders working hard at building their program up to another level. They are far from new to the purebred industry as they had their 26th Bull Sale this past spring in Grande Prairie, they know the Angus breed well. A fantastic opportunity to grab a foundation type cow from a hard working couple that is getting it done.

Mulberry is one of those bulls who is absolutely timeless!! With the kind of progeny he leaves behind he will never go out of style or
A phenomenal opportunity to acquire some genetics from one of Mulberry’s most beautiful daughters! She was a former Lot 1 in the 2nd Mulberry Mayhem in Emporia, Kansas at a $38,000 evaluation. She has a typical gorgeous Mulberry udder and sweet front end. She is spectacular and remarkable to see in color!! She produced a herdsire which is at EBY Ranch and a daughter that will be featured in the Mulberry Mayhem in 2016 in Kansas. She is already a proven donor as well her embryos will qualify her for the 2017 Canadian Mulberry Mayhem sale series.
even more importantly....go out of peoples hearts and minds. He has one of the highest approval ratings of any bull in the Red Angus breed all over the world!! 15 direct daughters in the 5th Annual Mulberry Mayhem in Kansas this fall averaged $7000 US. We are planning a one time spectacular event in Canada in the fall of 2017, a Canadian Mulberry Mayhem. Cattle must either be direct progeny of Mulberry, AI’d to Mulberry or with embryos Mulberry must be the sire. Semen purchased here today will give you the opportunity to utilize in the 2016 breeding season to produce the fancy, stout, dark red heifer calves Mulberry is known for. 2017 will no doubt represent the first sale of this kind in Canada. Great ROI possibilities here!

Here is a rare opportunity to get ahold of breed leading genetics of a many time champion, and huge sale feature in the 2013 Bases Loaded Sale. A son of the infamous Silveiras Style 9303 and tracing back to BC Lookout 7024 on the maternal side of his pedigree, GQ is a bull that will be a total out cross to many herds in Canada. He’s a bull that will add tremendous eye appeal, as well as, muscle mass and shape to his progeny. Recently a full sister to GQ sold in Silveira Bros., Partners for Performance Female Sale, for $55,000, as well, one of his daughters selling for $25,000. His progeny exhibit loads of rib shape, tons of neck extension and are impeccable in their foot and leg structure. If your looking for a sire that will add some extra style and functionality to his calves, look no further.LOT 31

Very little semen made it up to Canada before it became unavailable. But…..he certainly made his mark this spring with his first sons selling including a top of $34,000 to Dreamakers Angus and KBJ Farms. The sire group alone averaged over $10,000. Active Duty puts a neat stamp on his calves with a pedigree that offers some different genetics to work with and calves heifers like a dream. His maternal brother, Tour of Duty has taken the bull by storm as well with his power and performance.

Elite embryos sired by Kill Switch the reigning Denver Stock Show Grand Champion Red Angus bull and out of the prolific Cheta 702W. Last fall her son, Jagger was slapped Reserve Grand Champion Red Angus bull at Agribition where he caused quite a stir. Kill Switch is a son of the former US National Champion Red Angus bull, Better Beef, who has left a legacy of stout, performance plus cattle with unlimited potential. The Cheta cow family has been a mainstay at Six Mile producing many show ring champions and sale toppers and will become a corner post in our respective herds as well. A full sister to Cheta 702W was a feature last fall at the Rust Mountain Fall Female Sale.

A terrific frozen package of goodness from a young superstar cow that is quickly making a name for herself. 40Y is the dam of the $57,500 Red Brylor Red Kodiak 3A that Sunberry Valley purchased a few years back. She is also a full ET sister to the Eberle 50Y (He just had a heifer calf sell at the “Under the Influence Sale” in Kansas at $27,500). 40Y herself just sold for $14,500 1/2 interest in Red Roundup to Robert New in Indiana. Put these embryos in 2016 and bring the resulting progeny back to the Canadian Mulberry Mayhem Sale in the fall of 2017.

On offer today is 20 straws of semen in 2 packages of 10 straws each. (There will be a maximum of 80 straws selling for the 2016 breeding season). The genetic footprint that Ghostrider has left behind is really starting to show up as time passes. His first daughters have done a great job of raising a good one and getting bred back. His sons are simply impressive – they are born easily and then grow very well. They are very docile and possess above average muscle mass. Their ability to convert feed into pounds is well above average. There is definitely a limited supply of semen so get some while you can.To honor my words to the buyers of the 60 straws for 2015 this semen purchased today will be held for release until January of 2016.

RED BRYLOR JKC GHOST RIDER 108Y
Sequoia broke on to the scene as a yearling back in 2003! He was then admired for his big spring of rib, wide top and his great coat of dark, cherry red hair and style that made everyone turn and watch. 13 years later his impact is still being felt through his genetics as many sons and daughters have bred on very well becoming mainstays in numerous herds. Two of the most important maternal factors that come into play with Sequoia would be his dam and granddam. His dam, many would argue could be Rambo 502’s greatest, most productive daughter ever. Meanwhile his granddam made her own mark in American Red Angus history as a very prolific, eye appealing out cross donor that anchored a many of herds through her genetics over the years.

Flush Opportunity

Here is a cow that we were fortunate to have the opportunity to purchase out of the Diamond T Exodus Sale in 2009, as she came highly recommended from both Brody and Rob. She has been a not miss cow, raising Red Redrich Aftershock 238A the Supreme Champion Bull from Lloydminster Stockade Roundup and Alberta Supreme Champion Bull at Farmfair International. He was our high selling bull in 2014 to Wood Coulee Red Angus. A heifer calf who sold on the top of the group last year in our Roll Out the Red Female sale, Red Redrich Passion 239B to Carlos Ernesto Gonzalez of Mexico. Then a stand out April brother Red Redrich Culture Shock 238C in the bull pen this year. She has been listed as an elite cow since 2013 and has never been flushed, here is your opportunity! Open and ready to flush. Guarantee 6 #1 embryos to the bull of your choice to be flushed at Davis Rairdan International or Bow Valley Genetics. Flush costs paid by buyer and buyer gets all embryos with guarantee of 6 embryos.
