vegetation, soil, water, and fauna. Ecoregions can begrouped into Ecozones which are more generalized,vast ecosystems defined by widespread, commoncharacteristics (such as Prairie or Boreal Shield).

Protected areas are to be identified andcreated in each of Manitoba's Ecoregions.
