THEORY OF OPERATION – HOW IT WORKS ?The operation of the BIOCON systems is simple and very
effective. The system usesAir (oxygen) for the rapid oxidation of the organic material combined with chlorine (either 5% or 14%
concentration recommended) for the germs elimination. The oxygen and the added chlorine meet in the suction line of the recycling current and are working in an aggressive reaction under strong turbulence on the organic matter, the surface of which has been previously optimally enlarged by a macerator to solids of maximum 0.5 mm dimensions. This makes a quick reaction possible, which has been accomplished in 12 minutes of continuous process (thorough mixing and continuous recycling and cutting in the treatment tank) for the quantity of sewage accommodated at each batch. All effluent is passing through a filter membrane ,and backwashed sludge is expelled to a separate sludge tank.

� Biocon’s automatic self-cleaning filter-membrane is a motorizedstrainer designed for the continuous removal of entrained solidsand especially sewage sludge.
� With an automated control system monitoring the straineroperation, cleaning is accomplished by an integral backwashsystem
