Luis began developing his interest in photog-raphy by studying with well know photogra-pher, Jack Stuler, while attending the Collegeof Architecture at Arizona State University.

Upon receiving his architecture degree, Luisjourneyed to Sierra Leone, Africa, where hespent two years in the Peace Corps. In-trigued with the spontaneity of everyday lifein Africa, his camera became a constantcompanion.

His images have been said to seduce theeye, drawing viewers in closer to interpretthe power of the story they are working toportray. His images are honest, spiritual, and many times express a surreal quality.
