Getting to Know Campus
The Student Union is located in the center of campus, and is home to many shops, eateries and offices. It also houses the theatre, art gallery and the bookstore. Tiger Stadium & Mike’s Habitat Named for LSU's mascot, the stadium is some:mes called "Death Valley" by opponents. The Tigers have drawn more than 15 million fans since 1957, and Mike, our fearless mascot, has a :ger habitat located next to the stadium. It was created with lush plan:ng, a large Live Oak tree, a beau:ful waterfall and a stream evolving from a rocky backdrop. This spectacular space features state-‐of-‐the-‐art technologies, research, conserva:on and husbandry programs. It is, in essence, one of the largest and finest :ger habitats in the United States.

atmosphere conducive to the needs of the LSU community. The UREC SRC is a 121,000 sq. foot innova:ve and comprehensive recrea:onal facility
featuring state-‐of-‐the-‐art equipment, high-‐level programming and modern ameni:es to meet the ever-‐changing needs and expecta:ons of its patrons.
Campus Highlights Along with Tiger Stadium, LSU’s campus is home to the Pete Maravich Assembly Center, which is a mul:purpose use arena, the LSU Golf Course and the official Alex Box baseball stadium. At each quarter hour, you will hear the sound of chimes coming from the Memorial Tower, and at noon LSU’s alma mater is played. In front of the bell tower you will find the Parade Ground, which is perfect for lounging, outdoor recrea:onal sports and university ac:vi:es.
The Lakes & Beyond The LSU lakes border campus and are a fantas:c loca:on for a run. Not only that, but they’re a great place to take your pet for a long walk and even the perfect spot
to lay out and enjoy the weather on a beau:ful day.
