INTRODUCTION This project is made for security of people and
objects as well.
Location Helper helps for those girls and women who feel unsafe at the time of outing from their home.
Location Helper converts your Smart phone into a powerful GPS device.
The administrator can add multiple users to his account.
The Administrator will be able to see the
location of these users on the map in real time.
Users can periodically send check-in status to the administrator.
In case of an emergency, the user can tap a button on the Location Helper app which will send out an email to the administrator.
OBJECTIVE Here are some of the cases you can use

Women and Children safety Tool Vehicle Tracking Fleet Management Shipment Tracking
PROJECT CATEGORY The project consists of a web based application and
an android based application.
Both these applications will be linked to each other.
The android app will be installed on a smartphone which is GPS enabled.
TOOLS AND PLATFORM USED Front end: ASP.NET using Microsoft Visual Studio

MODULES & THEIR DESCRIPTION MAIN MODULES:- 1.Registration
This module will accept the user details which will include fields
like username, address, phone number, SOS number details, GPS enabled device. After registration this user will have an account in the Location Helper web based application.
2. LoginIn this module user will have to enter his/her login credentials
like username and password in order to access his/her account. After logging in to his/ her account the user becomes the administrator and track the location of other users.
3. AccountThis is the main control module of the project. In this module the
user who has become an administrator after signing to his/her account will be able to track the location of other users or GPS enabled devices. The administrator can see the location of other users on Google Maps. This administrator will be able to receive the SOS emails from users in danger, their check_in statuses and will be able to call for help and send SOS confirmation email to the user in danger. 4. Android app
This app will be installed by smartphone users who will need to login to make their device visible to the administrator. This app will consist of two buttons: CHECK_IN and SOS. If the phone user presses CHECK_IN button then his current location will be sent and if he presses SOS then an SOS mail will be sent to the administrator who in return can send help.

SECURITY MEASURES The phone user can be made visible to the
administrator only after the phone user uses his login credentials to access the android app which is directly linked to his/her account on the web based application.
The user becomes the administrator only if he is a registered user of the service provided and has valid login credentials.
FUTURE SCOPE OF THE PROJECT
The project made here is just to ensure that this product could be valid in today’s as well as future’s challenging world
Increasing crimes: Today’s world is hit by growing rate of crimes which will in increase by a large percentage as time passes. Hence this product provides as an important tool for an individual’s security.
User friendliness: Though the most part of the
system is supposed to act in the background, efforts have been made to make the foreground interaction with user as smooth as possible. Also the integration of the system with Location Helper project has been kept in mind throughout the development phase.
