Visual Metal Insert Molding (VMIM) enables thinner device
construction by integrating a
visual metal frame with antenna
functionality. It increases product
stiffness by combining plastic
parts with metal decorations.
Metal Hydroforming opens up
new opportunities for complicated
metal shaping with its faster
processing time and lower tooling
and process costs. It reduces the
need for CNC milling, replaces
forging, and can shorten the
process by more than 80%.
Narrow Glass Insert Molding (NGIM) and Visual Metal GIM (VMGIM) take an affordable two-
dimensional glass window and
form it into a three-dimensional
shape with no visible seams.
3D Direct Printed (3DP antennas are printed 3D antenna
patterns that can be integrated
into virtually any mechanical
structure or cover – maximizing
design flexibility, ensuring optimal
placement and performance,
and allowing slimmer product
designs.
The lightweight Plastic and Plastic (P+P) tablet uses a
simple manufacturing process
to integrate a plastic body with
plastic frame parts. It is easy to
decorate and has a lower unit
cost than metal, while the frame
ensures increased strength.
Fumod antennas use the visual
metal in the back cover as the
main antenna. This antenna can
be combined with other antennas
– including NFC, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth,
and GPS – to form a complete LTE
solution.
