October 2, 1949
• She is known for taking pictures of celebrities. She takes portraits, body and actions photographs.
• Her mom was a big inspiration for her photos.
1967/68
• In 1967 she started her freshman year at San Francisco Art Institute (SFAI) as a painting student
• In 1968 Annie buys her first camera which was a Minolta SR-T 101.
• Her sophomore year she started taking a night photography class at SFAI.
1970• Takes antiwar
rally pictures in San Francisco and at Berkley.
• One of the pictures appear on Rolling Stones magazine on June 11th it was her first published work.
1973
• Listed as “chief photographer” on May 10th’s Rolling Stones magazine.
1980/81
• In 1980 Leibovitz photographs John Lennon and Yoko Ono.
• On the same day that she photographed John was the same day that he was murdered.

1983/84
• In January of 83 she resigns from Rolling Stones Magazine.
• Then in April she becomes the contributing photographer for Vanity Fair.
• In 1984 she receives Photographer of the Year From the American Society of Magazine Photographers.

1996
• She was the photographer of the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta, Georgia.
• In 2001 Annie has her first child Sarah Cameron Leibovitz.
• In 2004 Susan her partner dies.
• In 2005 she has her two twins, Susan and Samuelle.
• Her John Lennon picture was named best magazine in 40 years from the Society of Magazine editors.
2005
• Her most recent photo shoot was for Disney’s Million Dreams. She took celebrities and did Disney scenes with them.
