“Bayanihan is derived from the root word Bayani first
appeared in 1745 in a manuscript titled
“Vocabulario de la Lengua Tagala” by P. Juan de Noceda
and P. Pedro de Sanlucar which means Obra Comun or
group work.”
Magpabayani is another related word.
