Timeline for Certified Enrollment Entity (CEE) and Certified Enrollment Counselor (CEC) Process
2 days 4 days 6 days 10 days 15 days 20 days 25 days
CEE Submits Application
CEE application approved
CEE receives email regarding CEE Mgmt. Webinar training
CEE completes Mgmt. Webinar training online ( CEE should complete in 30 days – but here lets assume CEE finishes the training immediately )
CEE is Active
CEC receives email with Login information for Learning Management System (LMS) ( 3-5 business days after CEE application Submission )
CEC login to LMS and registers for their ILT Session
CEC completes 2.5 days ILT training
CEC completes CoveredCA.com training and passes the exam
CEC submits the criminal disclosure form by mail to Covered California and provides fingerprinting at the available LiveScan locations ( Will take up to 2 weeks to receive the Approval report )
CEC will be certified if they meet all the requirements 1. Must pass CEC exam 2. Must clear background 3. CEC agreement must be on file 4. CEE must be Active

Covered California training is provided through a variety of
modes, including Instructor Lead (ILT) and computer-based
(CBT) training courses. The Learning Management System
(LMS) is the training system for Covered California.
What is LMS?
• Manages who receives training
• Manages training courses assigned
• Manages content and courses available based on
assigned role

How will I be using LMS?
• LMS is where a CEC can search and register for the
2.5 day ILT
• LMS is where a CEC completes the (2) Computer-
Based Trainings
• At this time the CBT courses provide the overview of the
CoveredCA.com system.
• Full CBT Certified Enrollment Counselor training will be
offered in 2013
• LMS is where a CEC completes the Exam

Correspondence from the LMS will come from the
following email address:
• If you have not received your login information yet, check your spam
filter and add [email protected] to your
“Safe Senders” list.
• CECs will receive an e-mail 3-5 days after CEE application is
approved.
• If you have not logged into LMS yet, please do so immediately.

POST ILT REQUIREMENTS

After completing the Instructor-Led Training (2 ½ days), attendance will be verified an updated in the LMS. You will receive an email confirming completion of the ILT, from [email protected]. This is will unlock the remaining training items in the Certified Enrollment Counselor Certification track:
1. Login to the LMS
2. Take survey (~2-3min)
3. Complete Computer-Based Training Modules (~2 hours)
a. CAM-500c
b. IND-510c
4. Pass the 50 question Certification Exam (~2.5hours)
• 80% score or better
• May take Exam up to 3 times (must answer all 50 questions in one sitting)
• Exam is does not have a time limit, but will timeout after 20min of inactivity
• You may use your training materials as a resource to answer questions

Certified Educators becoming Certified Enrollment Counselors • CE conversion to CEC requires different Learning Track
than new CECs
• CE to CECs are not required to attend ILT but may do so if desired
• CEs are required to complete a series of CBTs
• After completion of the CBTs, CEs must take a Quiz
• Background checks/LiveScan Fingerprinting and Photo Identification Badges are still required for CEs

After creating a user account in CoveredCA.com, a Certified CEC will:
1. Receive an email from Covered California’s badge vendor
2. Need to be prepared to upload a headshot
