Dear parents,
You now have the opportunity to re-register your child for the school year 2017-2018. During the month of February the re-registration fee is $50 per student. From March 1st to May 31st the fee will be $70 per student. After May 31st the registration fee is $100 per student.
Please note that only the parents who have paid the tuition up to date can take advantage of this special offer.
Current students have priority and will be enrolled first, and have until February 28th to register. After this date, the registration will be open for outside students as well. Please note that some of the preschool classes may already be full. Therefore, we would like to encourage you to pay your registration fee before the due date to ensure your spot, since the space is limited.
As always, we appreciate your cooperation and prayers and we look forward to having your child as a student during the upcoming school year.
Sincerely,

Dear all,
A Christian School has among other objectives that of educating its students in all things pertaining to a good attitude and a
general respect for authority.
Over the course of the past few weeks, we noticed a general decline in the way the school uniform is observed and respected and
in the way students behave in class. Thus, we decided to start a campaign of awareness regarding these issues, together with the
necessary enforcement for those that are slack in heading our requirements.
Let me remind you a few of the important issues that we will monitor:
1. Students are allowed to wear uniform only, as described in the handbook, except in special occasions approved by the Principal.
2. There is a special concern with the sweaters, as they started to be why off the uniform code. We only allow NAVY BLUE
sweaters, not black or any other color. The sweaters should be plain, with no inscription and/or emblems, logos etc.
3. Also a serious concern starts to build regarding the length of the girls' skirts, as they tend to be way too short. As per the
manual, they must be at the middle of the knee or lower, uniform type only.
4. The boys pants must be straight khakis, of beige color, with no applied pockets or special shapes etc.
5. Regarding the class etiquette, there are to be NO DRINKS AT ALL brought into class (not even water), unless you have a
verifiable medical condition. There are to be no painted nails, no (visible) make-up worn, no excessive perfumes, no jewelry of any
kind.
6. Smart watches are not allowed in class and will be confiscated if found in class. Also, phones are not to be used AT ANY TIME
and NOWHERE on the school premises, except in a certifiable emergency. If they are seen on your persona at any time, they will
be confiscated. In class, they must be set to silent and placed on the teachers desk, no exceptions allowed.
As I said, we are usually a relaxed environment, but sometimes things are getting out of hand and then we must enforce the rules.
Please understand and cooperate.
We especially expect parents to be supportive and explain these rules one more time to their children.
Thank you and God bless,
Mr. Larry Murg-Principal LCA “Whoever heeds discipline shows the way to life, but
whoever ignores correction, leads others astray.”

PTO CORNER FOODSTUFF
LCA Messenger, Page 12
INGREDIENTS:
2/3cup white sugar
1 (14oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
2 cups heavy cream
1 cup milk
5 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla extract
DIRECTIONS:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a small nonstick saucepan, heat the sugar over medium heat. Shake and
swirl occasionally to distribute sugar until it is dissolved and begins to brown.
Lift the pan over the heat source (4-6in) and continue to brown the sugar until it
becomes a dark golden brown. You may slightly stir while cooking,
but continually stirring causes the sugar to crystallize. Pour
caramelized sugar into a 1 1/2 quart casserole dish or a large pan, and
swirl to coat the bottom of the pan evenly.
In a blender, combine sweetened condensed milk, cream, milk, eggs
and vanilla. Blend on high for one minute. Pour over the
caramelized sugar.
If you have a great recipe to share with the community, please send an email to: [email protected] and we will
publish it in future newsletter editions.
