About the Department

The Department has been playing a pioneeringrole in producing world class technocrats. Theinfrastructure and lab facilities are upgraded from time totime and provide adequate opportunities for studentsand researchers to learn and innovate. The departmentoffers under graduate degree for around 180 students andpost graduate degree in Power Electronics and Drives.

The Department maintains a good placement record andour students are recruited by companies like RobertBosch, TCS, Infosys, WIPRO, HCL etc.

Objective and Scope of the Program

LabVIEW is a graphical programmingenvironment used by millions of engineers and scientiststo develop sophisticated measurement, test, and controlsystems using intuitive graphical icons and wires thatresemble a flowchart. LabVIEW offers unrivaledintegration with thousands of hardware devices and

provides hundreds of built-in libraries for advancedanalysis and data visualization – all for creating virtualinstrumentation. The LabVIEW platform is scalableacross multiple targets and operating systems.

The graphical approach also allows non-programmers to build programs by dragging anddropping virtual representations of lab equipment withwhich they are already familiar. It creates an intelligentindustrial system for measurement and monitoring andoffer the latest solutions for designing Control System, PELab, NI Multisim Simulator. LabVIEW graphical

programming environment enables engineers andscientists to use revolutionary methods for deliveringscalable solutions for the problems of test, measurement

and control.
