“Haj Mabroor to all
families, friends
and staff that have
returned from
Makkah.”
Dear Parents and Caregivers, We hope all families had a wonderful Eid–ul-Adha InshAllah. We would also like to wish all parents, teachers and community members who have returned from Makkah a “Haj Mabroor.” We hope that their journey to the Holy Makkah has been fulfilling and inspirational, InshAllah. I would strongly encourage parents to read the newsletter and term planner as there are numerous important events coming up. Please ensure that you complete the permission notes for the excursions and send the required money in a sealed envelope to the class teacher.

Parents are not allowed to address students directly about incidences that they have witnessed or to reprimand students directly. Parents need to report the incidents to the Deputy Principal, Assistant Principal, one of the co-ordinators, a teacher or the front office. Thank you for your co-operation in this matter.
Students are entering the school grounds early in the morning and already in disagreement with each other since playing Fortnite the previous evening. The arguments and bickering continue into the classrooms and causes disruptions and disturb the learning of our students. We strongly request that parents not allow their children to play these addictive games, InshAllah. An app called ‘Family Zone’ is available to help parents manage screen time, restrict social media use and remove adult content.
By now all students should have read the required books to receive a certificate from the NSW Premier. Please see Miss Ismail or Mrs Papadopoulos should you require advice.
We welcome Miss Docker, our Debating coach. A selected group of students from Year 3 to Year 6 will participate in the Debating classes on Friday afternoons from 3:30 to 5pm, starting this Friday, 31st August 2018. Please provide your child with an extra sandwich or snack to enjoy before classes start. v
All Saturday classes resume this weekend, InshaAllah. Well done to those parents who are sending their children in Kindergarten, Year 1 and Year 6 to the Saturday Super Skills classes. Students are working in a small and warm environment and have the opportunity to consolidate and extend their skills in Literacy, Numeracy, Quran Reading and Sport.
We also welcome chess coach, Mr Mak to Rissalah College. The students first receive a formal lesson and then have an opportunity to play chess and put their skills to practice.
