Life’s Lantern Psalm 119:105 Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path. When I read this passage I can’t help but thinking about camping and going for a walk with the children to the lake or through the woods. When it is really dark and there is no moon shining bright, it is very easy to get lost, get off the path and into the briers, or to simply trip on a root if you don’t have a light to help you navigate the trail. The same is true for our lives. We all need to have that light source that keeps us on the path that God has for our lives. This is a lesson that many of us have already learned and some of us are in the process of learning. July 18-22 we will be having our Vacation Bible School. Our theme this year is Arrow Island: Choosing God’s Way. While they will be learning many different verses throughout the week, Psalm 119:105 is the theme verse for the week. We will be learning to choose God’s way, letting the Bible guide our lives, and help God’s light shine through us. Deborah and Missy have been working hard to get ready for VBS. Ways to get involved:
Start praying and continue to pray for our students and workers Invite every child that you know to come If you would like to help, it is not too late to sign up. See Deborah or Missy and tell them you
want to help. This will be a powerful God-filled week that will change the lives of our students and adults as we learn to follow the light of God’s word daily.
Blessings,
Vacation Bible School
