In the common, and often ambiguous distinction
between art and design, I found myself more on
the art side prior to starting my career path as
a designer. Now, in the progression of my
design career, I have found that my nature as
an artist has become more separate and even
secondary to the development of my design
sensibilities. This compilation of non-design
processes presents my mindset in fine arts,
rather than design.
I let go of concentration towards refined
formal elements and craft in favor of
immediacy towards creating from a more
abstract expression of imagery.

When it comes to style, the inspiration
for this side of my creative life has
been derived from many sources, from
Japanese animation to post-modernism
to psychedelic artwork. The images
included have often been described as
creepy, grotesque, and peculiar.
The images presented are the direct result of decision-making with no preemptive method.
Operating in this fashion has
provided an escape from
the trials I have faced as an
individual coming to grips with
the obstacles set forth in my life.
It presents an almost alternate
reality that is safer to express
myself through rather than by
more naturalistic means.
This is not the design side of
my personality, but my art side.
