Research Program
One of the most compelling questions in modern Nuclear Physics is what role quark
and gluon degrees of freedom play in nuclear structure
and in the dynamic of nuclear matter!
What is possible contribution of the DISK project research program
to clarify this problem?
The goal of experiments at DISK spectrometer is study of cumulative particle
production.

WORKSHOP’01
PHYSICAL PROBLEMS • Strangeness in light nuclei (deuterium, helium) and K-meson
asymmetry in the cumulative region.• Exclusive pD break-up reaction at high transverse momentum ,
spin asymmetry and color transparency.• The structure of relativistic compound systems.• Dynamic correlations in the cumulative production processes.• Fragmentation of polarized deuterons into cumulative mesons.

Conclusion
Our request is to extend the project with the first priority for the
next 3 years and to provide a level of
the financial support not less
than it was in 2000-2002.
